 The LPTO assists the teachers and staff by helping to raise money and come up with innovative ways to purchase upgrades in an ever-changing technology, as well as other items the L'Ouverture annual budget does not cover. You can get involved by attending LPTO meetings, scheduled on the 2nd Monday of every month at 6pm. Your 2010-2011 LPTO officers are

We are very pleased to announce that we have a Volunteer Site Contact now on staff at L'Ouverture. Amber Johnson has a 4th and a 5th grader at L'Ouverture this year. She is in charge of working with teachers and parents to plug-in volunteers in a variety of areas throughout our building. There are always many little areas that need volunteers and we are very excited to have someone in that position. She is looking forward to working with us all and helping the school with finding volunteers when needed.
May 11th we will be having a Technology Picnic from 6-7:30 in the Gym and Playground. Food and drinks will be provided, but please bring your lawn chairs.
We have had several events the past few months, including Movie Night, a Family Dance, and Build-a-Book night. Please check them out.
Holiday Shop was a very busy week! A big thank you to all the volunteers who helped our children be able to shop throughout the week! It was tough decision making at times, but isn't that half the fun? We also raffled off the 6 foot stocking for Samba Band. More information about the event is here.
 Bingo Night was such a success thanks to all of you who attended. It was so nice to see so many families and play and have a fun night together. Best of all, we were able to raise some money for our Samba band. Hopefully they will be able to purchase some new instruments now!
