About 4 blocks and you will run into the current school but you will have passed the work site one block back. Or if you are coming from La Peñita turn on the next street (i.e. after the baseball field) and the work site will be on your left 3 blocks from the highway. Current Status: Scroll down for more history March 28 & 29, 2010 -- Preparations and Inauguration March 2010 -- Building progress (reverse timeline) March 6, 2010 -- Volunteer work day November 20, 2009 -- walls are up August 2009 -- Rotary club adopts the project and starts to raise funds to complete the work. June 2009 -- foundation laid and walls being built Saturday May 16, 2009 -- Fence building day. Cement posts placed around the whole property. May 9, 2009 -- work day to clean the new location April 27, 2009 -- The parents decide to dedicate the funds they have available to the project to make up their 20% commitment. March 17, 2009 -- The project placed third in the priority vote. |
