These are the current projects of the Education Committee.  Each project has its own web page with a slide show and progress report.  If you read all the captions on the slide show you will get a pretty good idea what each project is about.  Contact us for more details or to donate.

2010 - 2011 Projects

La Patria Kinder (View Details):  The project is well under way with inauguration scheduled for March 29, 2010, 2pm.


Gpe. Manautou Kinger:  (view details)  The entry cupola is deteriorating and presents a danger to the children.  It is to be replaced with a small roof.
 

Las Rosas Kinder: (view details)  This project aims to build a new kindergarten with one classroom and bathrooms.  There is no other kindergarten in the area.  Currently 7 students meet in a borrowed room but will be moving to another borrowed space shortly.




Justo Sierra Primary School: (View Details)  Security needs to be upgraded by repairing and raising about 40 meters of perimeter wall.




Juan Escutia Primary School: (View Details) This project is a renovation of the bathrooms at the school.
J. Cruz Bautista Primary School: (View Details)  This project involves raising the grade of the school yard so children can get to the bathroom without wading through 12 inches of water during the rainy season.  A new bathroom is also needed.
Miquel Hidalgo Kinder(View Details):  Shade and protection from the rain.

Telesecondaria Secondary school(View Details):  This school needs a perimeter fence to protect the property.  Without it gardens and property get vandalized and students are distracted by unwelcome visitors.

Lázaros Cárdenas del Río Primary: (View details):  The school needs better access for the children.  The street most used to access the school is very steep.  During the rainy season the street becomes slippery and dangerous.  About 60 meters of side walk with stairs is needed.
