The new Sage One rod that replaced the Z-Axis is a winner. It is very versatile and it has already won First place at the IFTD (International Fly Tackle Dealer) Show (This is a vary big deal.) as the Best new "Freshwater Rod " and also the Best new "Saltwater rod" for 2012!
George Anderson has recently said that if he had a 6 weight shootout today that
the Sage One would win!
The
rod is a bit lighter than the Z-Axis and a bit faster. It is made with
the latest graphite technology. We really do like this rod. The MSRP
on these rods ranges from $720-$740 depending on the length and weight
of the model selected. ON our custom rods, we can offer a bit better price than this. However, on our factory rods, we must sell at MSRP. We can structure a rod and reel
package with either a Loop, Waterworks, or Lamson reel that can really
save you additional money. Please check out our Package Deals in the Menu below.
We also make all premium Sage one-hand rods at excellent prices. Just email for a quote.
We have all lengths and weights of the the new R.L.Winston premium one-hand rod models available. With most of the components desired by our clients, these rods are priced at $125 below MSRP! (For example, our price for a $755 MSRP 5 or 6 weight BIIIx is only $630!)

North Fork Composites Customs

Our new North Fork Composites Custom rods are available at prices ranging from $399 - $489 plus shipping . Pricing depends on the weight of the rod (3-8 weights available), the number of pieces in the blank (2 or 4), components selected, and the speed of the action. Please call to discuss your specific needs
These blanks have been designed by the world famous rod designer, Gary Loomis. They have been made in Gary's own "North Fork Composites" factory. These are all "American made blanks." The rods are available in a variety of actions to suit your needs.
A little more detail about "North Fork Composites": Most fly-fishers know the name of Gary Loomis. He founded the G. Loomis rod company and was the force behind their rod design and development from the Company's founding until its sale to Shimano. We believe that Gary is the reason G.Loomis fly rods were originally accepted by fly fishers all over the world. He simply produced some of the best blanks available.
The G.Loomis company is no longer providing rod blanks for custom rod making. However, Gary Loomis now has a new company, North Fork Composites. He owns and operates this company and is once again making superb blanks. These blanks are all designed and made in the USA. Whether you are looking for an 8' - 3 weight or a 9'6" 8 weight or any weight in-between, we have a rod available for you in this new model line at a very reasonable price!
All "Lord of the Streams" custom rods are handcrafted in Spokane County,
Washington State, USA. We only use blanks that are "Made in the USA."

Unbelievably low Price on a custom Winston BIIX!
We only have one Winston BIIx blank left and wish that we had more. It is a 9' 4 wt. 4 piece. Once this rod is gone there will not be any more. BIIX blanks may no longer be purchased from the factory. The BIIx was one of our favorite rods of all time and we will never sell the ones that we personally use.
This rod has an MSRP of $755, but you can own it for only $545 plus shipping. Washington State Residents and international customers Please Take note:
As
of July 1, 2008, we stopped shipping our rods and all other products to
any location within Washington State. Washington Residents may still
purchase rods, reels and other products from us but they must be picked
up at our shop. We only ship outside of the State of Washington. This
policy is necessary due to the illogical and discriminatory "Destination
based sales tax laws" passed by the State of Washington. Our
firm is financially unable to comply with these regulations instituted
by the illogical, narrow minded, and socialistic government of
Washington State. The shipping rates quoted on this website do not apply
to Washington State customers. We will continue to ship to most other
locations in the world outside of Washington State.
Additionally, we will not ship to any location that is not allowed adequate insurance by the US Postal service in Priority mail shipping. This includes many countries in Africa, some countries in South America, and many previous eastern block countries. Our rods are very desirable and have actually disappeared while in the care of customs in some of these countries.
