Background

     Marley--Lord Dunmore the Duke of Albemarle is a rat terrier who was rescued from the streets of Wayne County, Ohio.  While at the shelter he longed for a family of his own.  He was pulled by MiniMutts Rescue and placed in a foster home.  It was there that he was found by his adoptive parents and welcomed into his new forever home.

     Marley is a handsome male rattie who through careful management of his resources has become a multi-bullystickaire.  He has many properties, including several homes and gardens that require his attention.  However, rest assured that Marley has the time, energy, and desire to be rattie President.

 

Presidential Platform

• Baths and toenail clipping--Marley pledges to continue his moratorium on baths and toenail clipping and launch a fullscale investigation into the safety and efficacy of these societal constraints.

 

• Fleas and ticks--Marley pledges to continue his policy of immediate deportation of all fleas and ticks to insure the good health of ratties around the world.

 

• Bully Sticks--It is Marley's position that the quality control and rate of production of these tasty treats must be increased to meet the needs of rat terriers everywhere.

 

•  Public Rattie Restrooms--Marley has tirelessly lobbied to increase the number of public rattie restrooms for his constituents and pledges to continue his fight if elected President.

 

• Camapign Contributions--Marley is not accepting any campaign contributions due to the financial difficulties being experienced by many rattie families.  Marley realizes that it is more important to have quality kibble in the food dish than to add a dollar to his campaign war chest.

     "It is my pledge to you, my fellow ratties, to run an honest and clean campaign.  I have no knowledge of any conspiracies, secret societies, or unflattering photographs or press concerning any other candidates.

     It is true that I have asked the lovely southern belle Miss Katie Scarlett to serve as my First Lady.  It is my most fervent hope that she will accept my offer should I be so fortunate as to be elected President.
