Requires paint thinner to clean up your brushes, . You should get 5-8 years on vertical wood structures using a solid, and 3-4 years on
horizontal surfaces using a semi-transparent. Latex Based,
has only been available for few years. Water clean up and rumored to be
quite durable. The stain companies are telling us that this finish
should be a match for oil in durability. For the do it yourself using
Latex stain if the wood is damp or has already been
built you may find it last longer than oil and easier to cleanup. Emulsions are the combination of latex and oil stains. with a suggested higher durability Silicone sealers
will penetrate slightly and you will see water beading designed to be applied yearly and applied to dry wood. Stain
