“Lunch On A Leash” originally occurred in 2006 as a Verde Valley Humane Society magnet event.   It was well-received in our community and many citizens asked for it to be an annual event.  

The lunch was established as an independent, charitable event in 2007. 

Lunch on a Leash Association received IRS 501(c)3 tax-exempt status in 2007 & has produced lunch events in 2008 & 2009.  LOLA accepts applications from animal nonprofit organizations prior to the fundraising event.
