Logaston Press

About us

We're based in Logaston, which is a hamlet in north Herefordshire, close to the border between England and Wales, and we publish books about the history, archaeology, architecture and people of this area of Britain, including Herefordshire, Shropshire and the Welsh Marches, South Wales, Worcestershire and the Black Country, and Gloucestershire. The first Logaston Press book was published in 1985 and since then we've produced more than 200 books, over 100 titles at present in print.

Logaston Press is run by Andy and Karen Johnson; we do everything from commissioning and editing the books to designing them, delivering them and making the tea in between (lots of that). We publish about 20 books a year, and try to find time for other things as well - last year a 3 month sponsored walk from Logaston to Rome, in aid of Amnesty International (the photo shows us in St Peter's Square) and this year some writing and research of our own.
