17 February 2009
The Lockleaze and Horfield Neighbourhood Partnership group met in the Cameron Centre on the 17th February. One of our councillors led. So although there were only about 30 locals there, the councillor's presence meant that at least another few thousand people were represented.

Mohamed Ismail and Andrew Mcgrath were also present. The main purpose was to get a clear view of what residents saw as the priorities for the Neighbourhood Partnerships.
Provision for Youth, Parenting and Childcare, Jobs and shops and employment, and community cohesion  were all seen as high priorities.

Mention was made of  an Anti Violence Roadshow which took place in Monks' Park School on 24th January 09, using some of the funding given to our Neighbourhood Partnership.
Will Grealish will submit to Mohamed a production folder for Neighbourhood Partnership reference, which will include all artist and production crew contact references, so that if other schools wanted to run their own Anti Violence Roadshow they would have a useful tool to help them run it.  The children involved in the AVR at Monks' Park were positive and enthusiastic about this initiative.   Well done everyone involved.
