Here's brief look at L&C's sojourn to the Midland Air Museum near Coventry airport.

I have visited many times and have always found it to be a friendly museum, where the staff are more than willing to let you crawl all over the exhibits. It's perhaps a little cramped in places once the traders have set up, but that all helps with the atmosphere. The outside temperature was high and the hangers were sweltering, but that didn't seem to have dampened the enthusiasm of the visitors.

L&C were entrenched in a small portakabin next to the main hanger and Karl had made an amazing job of finishing it just before the show opened (allegedly), although next time he should make more chairs! The room provided plenty of natural light, which to me was a revelation. I only wish more shows could be held where natural light is the main source. To me the models just looked "better'..... I know that's very subjective, but I suspect that artificial light not only skews colour but makes colour transitions harsher.

Anyway enough of my babble and onto the tables, and some models!

First up the main table. Quite an eclectic mix I'd say!

The secondary table that had been taken over just as I arrived. This meant plenty of room for the models to be spread out, giving an uncluttered look to the display.

Paul aka peebeep's lovely Meteor

Two models I'm sure anyone that reads SAM will recognise............... Karl's J.A.S.D.F 50th anniversary C-1 and YS-11.

Another of Karl's, this time the AFV Club F-5E

Deanflyer's Trumpeter Skyhawk built completely "Out of The Box", but at least this time not from the box!

AndyL's Hasegawa F-4S in a Heater-Ferris scheme. Lovely!!!

All in all, a grand day out, even though I couldn't stay all day. Well done guys we can all look forward to the next show where L&C are displaying.
