Locate and Cement at Huddersfield (IPMS Wakefield and District) - February 21st 2010

This show was hosted for us by Ed (phantomdriver), Steve (f4sooty) and Martin (brandydoguk). Well done and thanks chaps! First off some pics of personalities and the tables:

L: Martin, R: Ed

Unfortunately the event was somewhat affected by the weather, but we're told there we're still a good number of hardy souls who turned out for the show.

Here's a selection of photos from the show courtesy of Steve and martin:

Locate and Cement at Yeovilton - February 13th 2010

Phew! it seems like we packed up all the gear from MK, then headed straight down the M3/A303 to Yeovilton. We shared tables for this event with the Splash SIG and Vince of Modelsforsale and very convivial it was too, especially when Vince produced a case of beer! Rory also supplied some cider that was mysteriously spirited away by a nameless person...

Anyhow, here's a shot of the table:

OzH's helicopters created a huge amount of interest with visitors, hardly surprising as they are absolute gems. Here's some pics - not taken at the show, but you need to seem them!

Our very own Mikeew won a Gold Medal in the competition (Class 4, larger than 1/72) with his stunning Kinetic Hawkeye:

This model is featured in the March 2010 edition of Scale Aircraft Modelling.

And here's Desmojen's Silver Medal award winning (Montex?) Vickers Viking:

Here's a few selected pics courtesy of Emilssi, enjoy:

We met up with a number of old friends and also said hello face to face with members we had not seen before, something we always look forward to. When exhibiting it isn't always easy to have a proper look at the rest of what's on offer at shows, but this certainly looked like another outstanding Yeovilton event and the venue is, in any case, superb. Looking forward to the next one already!

Locate and Cement at Model Kraft - February 7th 2010

Our first outing (and only the second so far) for 2010 was at Model Kraft at the Stantonbury Campus Leisure, Stantonbury, on the edge of Milton Keynes. It seemed that the attendance might have been a bit down from previous years, but this may have been an effect of locating the show over two halls. Certainly a good number of visitors stopped to have a look at the Locate and Cement tables, also stopping for a chat and some free sweets! A good number of Locate and Cement regulars were in attendance and although initially daunted by the prospect of filling 3.6mx1.2m of table space it ended up looking quite full. Well done everybody! Here's a selection of photos, courtesy of Ratch:

Starting off with a rum looking bunch!

Special thanks to Bazza, Deanflyer and Emilssi for assiting with the setup, manning and take down, thanks folks.

Next up, Yeovilton.
