Local Sprouts provides people in Maine with creative, local and organic food, and holistic learning through cooking food for our community. Local Sprouts is a culinary and cultural organization that focuses on cooking local food to connect people to share food, mutual support, knowledge and develop local self-reliance. We have three main branches: Community Supported Kitchen, Cooperative Catering and Community Food and Learning. The Local Sprouts Cafe is a new community supported cafe that will open in the winter 0f 2010 at 645 Congress St. in Portland. The Cafe will feature a local foods menu, community events and workshops, local food retail, art and more in a creative family-friendly environment. Our Catering provides delicious, creative, local and organic food to non-profit organizations, businesses and people for weddings, conferences, events, seasonal dinners, meetings, parties, trainings, gatherings and more.
