"The couple turned the camera over to the local police but when it was returned to them unclaimed they took matters into their own hands. Ms. Surman posted several of the 600 pictures on the camera on the Internet and, organized a group of amateur detectives who traced clues in the photos, leading them back to the camera's stunned and delighted owner." 

Cohousing and Other Intentional Communities

*Private Homes supplemented by common facilities
*Managed by residents
*Non-Hierarchical decision-making process
*Community is not the primary income source for residents

A tour of co-housing communities was one of several this season in different parts of the country designed to give participants an up-close look at various co-housing communities, and to address an increasingly common feeling that one pays too much for one’s home, sees friends too little there and generally lives a more isolated life than is desirable.

Oshara Village in Santa Fe, New Mexico, is now under construction.
