LoadsoFire's 1-70 Leveling Guide
News
I am going to be coming back from a fairly long break from WoW, and am planning on leveling my Alliance character to 80 (I have a 70 Gnome Warlock which was my Pre-BC main). I'm planning on making an alliance guide, which should be pretty interesting.
Introduction
To this day, one of the hardest things to do in the World of Warcraft
is leveling your first character. Over the past few years many guides
have been made to help peple level. Sadly, when I leveled my first
character to 60, these guides didn't exist. You would find the odd
"1-60 leveling guide, $4.99", the majority of these were scams. Listing
useless information.
Many of the guides being released now
are great except for one thing, they simply have too much information.
You spend more time reading the guide, than you do leveling. Explaining
exactly what quest to do, what level to do it, and where you need to go
for it. They also take into consideration that you are willing to
travel around the world to finish a single quest, when in my opinion it
would be more worthwhile to grind, or simply do other nearby quests.
Although making a long guide isn't a bad thing, adding in useless
information is, going in depth with something basic and
straightforward, is a waste of your own time, and the readers time. I
will guarantee this guide will be fairly lengthy, but certain sections
will not be meant for everyone to read. I will arrange this guide to be
as organized as possible, so that you can easily find the sections you
desire to read. I will do my best to leave out any unnecessary
information.
For those of you wondering "Well, why should we
listen to you?". Simple, I'm offering everything these people offer in
their guides which cost $4.99, condensing it, and hopefully making it
understandable and helpful even to the most brain dead of players. I am
currently working on my 5th 70, and I am aiming for all 9 classes by
the end of this expansion. My fastest record 1-60 was just over 4 days
played, 1-70 in approximately 7 days played (I don't have an exact
number since I normally PvP at 69, in the 60-69 bracket to get gear
without worrying about having resilience).

[A1] Important Addons:
Over
the past year countless addons have been released which make leveling
extremely easy. I am a player who likes to have a clean, basic UI. If
you enjoy downloading, and modifying addons, feel free to download
more. It is important that you keep these up to date, since many of
them are updated every tuesday, and some addons, every few hours
(Sigh... When will omen stop updating itself every hour?).
Each
addon listed is from Curse.com, the most trusted WoW addon site around.
Please, if for any reason you suspect a file could be infected with a
virus, scan it.
For those of you, on the nervous side, use this to scan:
http://virusscan.jotti.org/
Quest Helper
http://media.curse.com/dl2/47/53/74.zip/QuestHelper-0.47.19-abc40e6.zip
Quest
Helper is the best leveling addon you will most likely ever see. It
shows you the location of each quest in you quest log. It displays
which quests are closest to you, where you go for them, where you turn
them in. This addon will make questing a breeze, and I highly recommend
using it.
Carbonite
http://media.curse.com/dl2/47/53/260.zip/CarboniteQuest1.240.zip
Carbonite
is very similar to Quest Helper, but the advantage of using it, is that
it adds an extra minimap onto your screen which you can position any
way you would like. It shows quest locations on the minimap, as well as
a window on your UI displaying quest progression in order of the quests
nearest you. Even though this addon is very similar to quest helper, I
would recommend using both while leveling.
Those are the two
addons I would recommend you use to improve leveling. There are of
course many more addons, but for the sake of keeping on track, the are
the two you should use for this guide.
[A2] Choosing Your Race
I
hope by now you have chosen if you want to play on the horde side, and
you have a brief understanding of the races in WoW. I think it
extremely important for players to choose a race they enjoy playing. I
feel its more important to play a race you enjoy, than a race which is
better for your class.
Each race has unique racials. Racials
are abilities only offered to that race, for example, tauren have War
Stomp, 5% extra life, and +15 to herbalism.
Racials
Blood Elf
Arcane Affinity - Enchanting skill increased by 10
Mana Tap - Reduces
target's mana by 51 and charges you with Arcane energy for 10 min. This
effect stacks up to 3 times. Amount of mana reduced is 50 + 1/Level -
30 yd range - Instant - 30 sec cooldown.
Arcane Torrent - Silences
all enemies within 8 yards for 2 sec. In addition, you gain 5 + 1/Level
Mana restored per Mana Tap charge currently affecting you - Instant - 2
min cooldown.
Magic Resistance- All resistances increased by 5.
Orc
Blood Fury - Increases
attack power / Damage and healing based on your character level, but
reduces healing effects on you 50%. Lasts 15 sec. /
Hardiness - 15% resistance to stun and knockout effects.
Command - Pet melee damage increased by 5%.
Axe Specialization - Expertise with Axes and Two-Handed Axes increased by 5.
Tauren
War Stomp - Activate to stun up to 5 opponents within 8 yards - lasts 2 sec - 2 min cooldown
Endurance - Max Health increased by 5%
Cultivation - 15 skill bonus to Herbalism
Nature Resistance - All Tauren get +10 Nature Resistance
Troll
Berserking - Increases
your casting and attack speed by 10% to 30%. At full health the speed
increase is 10% with a greater effect up to 30% if you are badly hurt
when you activate Berserking. Lasts 10 sec.
Regeneration - 10% health regen bonus, 10% active in combat
Beast Slaying - 5% damage bonus to Beasts
Bow / Throwing Specialization - Your chance to critically hit with Bows / throwing weapons is increased by 1%.
Undead
Will of the Forsaken - Activate
to become immune to Fear, Sleep, and Charm effects. Can also be used
while already afflicted by Fear or Sleep - lasts 5 sec - 2 min cooldown
Cannibalize - Activate
to regenerate 7% of total health every 2 sec. by consuming Humanoid or
Undead corpses within 5 yds - lasts 10 sec - 2 min cooldown
Underwater Breathing - Underwater breath lasts 300% longer than normal
Shadow Resistance - All Undead get +10 Shadow Resistance
[A3]Choosing Your Class
I
am going to leave this section empty, for one reason - The class you
choose should be based off of a play style you enjoy. I think its clear
which play styles certain classes have, and its up to you to figure out
which to choose. Find a class you think is interesting, and level it.
I will keep this section empty for the sake of not posting any biased information, such as which classes I think are best.
[B0] Introduction to Leveling
I'll
restate my intentions for this guide. I'm posting this to hopefully
help new players to WoW find areas to level, I'm trying to inform you
which areas are good questing zones, and which are useless. I will not
go into depth which each zone, simply because I want to make it
readable. I would prefer you are ingame leveling, not sitting here
reading this guide all day, so I will keep it as brief as I can,
without leaving out important information.
Let me state now,
that some people are faster than others at leveling. Some can sit down
and get much more done in a shorter period of time. If you are slower
than most when it comes to leveling, don't get downhearted, don't quit
because its taking to long to get to 70, only quit if you are not
finding the game enjoyable.
Setting small goals will help
you achieve your final goal, hitting 70. Instead of logging on every
day thinking "Lets get closer to level 70!", think "Lets get from 30-32
tonight!", setting smaller goals will keep you focused. 1-70 doesn't
take as long as most games to level, but if you are impatient, you will
never reach it.
I will give areas in which you are supposed
to level in. because it would take an extremely long time to show you
all where the areas are on the world map, I'm going to leave it up to
you to find it yourself. You can use your ingame map, or the blizzard
flash map, which is pretty handy.
http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/flashmap/
The most important tip in this guide... Have fun while leveling! Run instances a long the way, join a guild, make friends.
[B1] Level 1-10
1-10
can actually be very difficult despite what many people may believe.
These levels wont take a lot of time, but they can be very boring. The
quests aren't amazingly fun, and you don't get any cool abilities until
you hit level 10. Remember that every even level, you get new abilities
you can train at your class trainers (Level 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, ect).
Finish
each and every quest in your starting zone, if you are Orc, or Troll,
Durotar. If you're Blood Elf, Eversong Woods. For Tauren, Mulgore. And
finally Undead, Tirisfal Glades.
The reason you want to
complete each quest is because they offer a good amount of experience,
as well as reputation. By the time you have completed every quest you
your starting zones you should have reached honored with your
reputation faction.
An important thing is that at level 10,
each class is given a cool new ability they can train, or a quest that
leads to a skill reward. It is normally an ability very important for
your class, such as, the ability to tame beasts for hunters, ability to
use a fire totem for shamans, ect. Although the quests sometimes take a
long time, they are without a doubt worth doing.
A small
tip, in many starting zones players will offer 1g, or something for you
to sign their guild charters. For someone to form a guild, they must
first get 10 signatures agreed to also form the guild with them. Many
times, the Guild Master will get all 10 signatures, form the guild,
than kick all the lower levels that signed. They're not being jerks,
they simply needed signatures. If you want to sign to get some free
money, you are free to leave the guild whenever you wish by typing
/gquit. I would recommend signing them if they are offering a fair
amount of money. The earlier you start saving gold, the better.
[B2] Level 11-20
I
think its fair to say that levels 11-20 are possibly the slowest
levels. After patch 2.3 Blizzard reduced the amount of EXP needed to
level from 20-60, and EXP gained from quests from level 30-60. Since
11-20 wasn't affected by this buff, these levels are now very slow.
Certain classes have a harder time during these levels, for example,
11-20 is very slow as a druid, because you are forced to level in bear
form instead of cat form (which you get at 20). Try to stay focused,
and just get these levels out of the way.
The up side to
these levels is that you will begin to get uncommon quality armor and
weapons, which now give stats, which as +2 stamina, or +4 attack power,
ect. These stats will help you level quit a bit, a good rule of thumb
to follow is this - Melee should collect strength, agility, attack
power, and stamina. Certain classes need more of one stat than another,
and because of that I wont go into detail, since it would take too long
to explain. If you are a melee class, those are generally the stats you
should be looking for though. Casters should look for int, spell damage
(There isn't much spell damage on gear until outlands), stamina, and
spirit.
Areas:
The Barrens (Level 11/12 - 21/22)
Ghostlands (10-18)
Silverpine Forest (10-18)
Stonetalon Mountains (18-22)
http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/flashmap/
During
these levels you're going to be venturing off to new zones, you have a
few options at this point, depending on your race. Most players choose
to stay in their starting zones until approximately level 12, than head
to The barrens. I would recommend Undead finishing at least a few of
the easy quests in Silverpine forest so that you get extra reputation
with the Undercity, as well as Blood Elves staying in Ghostlands.
Ghostlands has a lot of quests, but Silverpine has a limited amount of
quests, with weak rewards.
Every player should finish the
majority of the quests int he Barrens, they offer good experience,
rewards, reputation, and are all around easy quests.
An
important thing to note, is that there are instances in this game.
Instances are zones made for groups of 5 people. I group consists of 1
healer, 3 damage dealers, and 1 tank. The point of instances is to get
a group of 5 people together, to work together to complete the zone.
Unlike many other zones, they're note wide open. To enter an instance
you have to enter a portal, which will take you to the instance. The
importance of this, is that players wont be able to interfere with your
group, no one other than the 4 other people with you can enter the same
portal as you. Each instance includes bosses which drop Uncommon, rare,
or epic gear. This gear is normally better than most gear monsters will
drop, or quests will give you (Not always true). There are two
instances without level 11-20, Ragefire Chasm, which I would recommend
being level 12 for, is located inside Orgrimmar (The orc main town).
The second in Wailing Caverns, for level 17-21, located in The Barrens.
An instance portal:
At
level 18 you can choose to stay in the Barrens, and finish the southern
quests, or head to Stonetalon Mountains. The downside to going to
Stonetalon is that the area is horribly designed, its basically a
straight line. Doing each quest requires a lot of running back and
forth. Despite the fact that you are forced to waste a lot of time
running around, it does give good quest rewards, and experience. It
will be your first taste of a contested area. A contested area is an
area which Horde, and Alliance are both flagged for PvP, which means
alliance can attack you, and you can also attack the alliance. An easy
way of telling a contested area apart from a friendly area is looking
at the color of the area name ontop of your minimap. If the name is
green, its friendly, meaning alliance can only attack you, if you
attack then. A yellow name means its contested, and anyone can attack
the opposite faction.
Remember to do your class quests at 20, some give unique abilities, others give good item rewards.
[B3] Level 21-30
These
levels are when leveling starts to become a little more entertaining.
By now you should have gotten rid of all your grey / white items and
replaced them with green / blue items. You're going to get a few new
abilities, which make leveling a lot more enjoyable, and easy. The only
downside to these levels are you have to go to contested areas where a
lot of PvP goes on. These are most likely the worst levels when it
comes to getting ganked. Level 30s, 40s, 50, 60s, and even 70s come to
these zones to camp lower level people. Don't worry though, the
majority of them are absolute idiots, and are only there because they
can't beat another level 70 in a fight. So they go after people weaker
than them. At least you can laugh at their pathetic attempts to be
badasses, while they gank you? By now, you should be getting the hang
of your basic abilities, and the play style of your class.
Areas
The Barrens (10-22)
Hillsbrad Foothills (20-30)
Stonetalon Mountains (18-24)
Ashenvale Forest (20-30)
Thousand Needles (28-34)
To
start these levels, I would recommend finishing The Barrens as well as
Stonetalon mountain. Even though I'm sure you're dying to leave these
areas, its best you stay until you're finished. Theres nothing worse
than going to a new area to early. Finishing these quests should bring
you close to 22, possibly 23.
From 22 head to Ashenvale.
Stop off at Splintertree post, and grab some quests, as well as the
flight path. Now, we have some walking to do. Head to the north west
corner of Ashenvale, there you'll find a beach called The Zoram Strand.
Theres a town south of the beast called Zoram'gar Outpost. Travel
there, and pick of the quests. There are about 5 easy quests to do in
that area, which should get you close to a level. Kill the Nagas, and
if you can, find a group for Black Fathom Depths, a instance north of
the Zoram Strand for levels 22-26, exp is good, gear is good, and there
area a lot of quests for the instance.
When
you're done with those quests, you'll want to head back to Splintertree
post, and finish some of the quests there, some may be too high of a
level for you, so just skip them for now. Ashenvale should bring you to
about 24-25 before the quests start to get too high of a level. When
they begin to start getting harder, head to Hilsbrad. To get their
you'll need to head to Orgrimmar, and use the Zeppelin to go to
Undercity, once there, you have a lot more running to do. Run through
Silverpine forest, picking up the flightpath there, than head to Tarren
Mill. Hisbrad is a cutthroat area. PvP is life there. It will be your
real taste of WoW PvP. Like I said though, get ready for higher levels
to kill you, they patrol that area day and night. There is an amazing
quest chain related to the Hisbrad fields, the great thing about this
quest is that only horde have the quests, so you don't have to worry
about alliance fighting over the same mobs are you. All the NPCs are
friendly for the alliance, which means there shouldn't be as much PvP
there.
Hilsbrad should last you until about 28, you may have
to do some grinding, which is killing mobs over and over for EXP,
instead of questing. Sadly, even after Blizzard made leveling easier,
there aren't enough quests in certain areas. When you get to about 28,
and have finished the majority of the quests, head back to Ashenvale,
and finish those quests. Which should bring you to at least 30. If not,
head to Thousand needles and finish a few of the quests there, run
instances or grind. A great instance from level 24-28 is Shadowfang
keep located in Silverpine forest, its worth doing at least once.
Remember to talk to your class trainer at 30 for any quests / new abilities.
[B4] Level 31-40
Heres
where things really start to get good. Quests now give great rewards,
and much more experience, thanks to patch 2.3. An important note to
take is that if you haven't already started saving for your mount which
you get at level 40 start now. One of the main reasons I stressed for
you to finish the starting zone quests to get reputation is because the
higher your reputation is with a faction, the cheaper they will sell
you goods for. Instead of a mount costing 100g, it would cost 90g while
honored. Each rank gives you a 10% discount. If you are unable to get
the gold for a mount by level 40, don't worry, you'll get it soon. Its
important that you collect everything mobs drop, including gray armor,
which can be vendored, or cloth which can be sold on the auction house.
Areas:
Arathi Highlands (30-40)
Desolace (30-40)
Thousand Needles (28-34)
Stranglethorn Vale (30-45)
Dustwallow Marsh (38-42)
Swamp of Sorrows (35-45)
Badlands (35-42)
We're
going to start these levels off by going to Thousand Needles, if you
decided to go earlier, thats fine as well. A lot of these quests are
fairly straight forward, Quest Helper will tell you exactly what to do.
Start off by going to Freewind Post, grabbing the quests, and the
Flightpoint, than heading a bit north, and you will find another small
camp. There should be about 3 quests at this camp which are worth
picking up and doing, one involves you killing a elite cat. Certain
classes that can kite (basically run away from the mob attacking with
ranged, so that it can't get to you, but you can keep attacking it)
will be able to solo it, while classes like warriors will have to find
another player to help you with it. An important thing to know with
thousand needles is that if you look up you see extremely high cliffs,
similar to the Grand Canyon, there are ways to go ontop of some of
them, which there are quests. Freewind Post, the main town, is also
located on one of them.
When you're finished with Thousand
needles start heading over to Arathi Highlands, Arathi Highlands are
very similar to Hilsbrad, but with less PvP. Its one of my favorite
zones to level in. You're going to have to take the Zepplin from
Orgrimmar to The Undercity again, than take the flight path to Tarren
Mill and walk to Hammerfall. Hammerfall is the only horde town, so pick
up the flight path, quests, and than start questing.
When
you run out of quests we're going to head over to Stranglethorn Vale.
Stranglethorn vale is a very unique area, its a jungle in the southern
most part of Azeroth. To get their you need to take the Zepplin from
Undercity, or Orgrimmar to Grom'gol, the horde town. Once there, pick
up the quests, and flightpath, than head south to grab the quests from
Booty Bay, and the flight path. Watch out along the way, STV has a wide
level range, the further south you move, the higher level the mobs will
be. When you get the quests, and flightpath in BB, fly back to
Grom'gol, and go north. You'll find a camp along a river called
Nessingwary Expedition, you'll meet up with them later on in Nagrand in
Outlands. You'll get a few quests regarding Green Pages of STV, I never
bother doing this quest, the experience is lousy, and I hate filling my
bags with those pages. Than again, if you tend to have clean bags, its
worth picking up, you don't have to do anything for the quests, all
mobs in northern STV drop the pages. Grab the beast mastery quests, and
start with those, than start the troll quests near the river. STV is a
fun area, but sometimes has a lot of level 70s patrolling the area,
killing anyone they see.
Stranglethorn should last you a
very long time (The quests keep going until about level 42, I tend to
leave at around 35-38 and do a few quests in Desolace. Lately I've
ignored that area because its a hassle to get to, and now that
dustwallow marsh has better quests, its not worth going to, unless you
run out of quests in STV early.
When you decide to leave
STV, head over to dustwallow marsh, Blizzard recently buffed these
quests, and added in a new area, mudsprocket. The majority of these
quests are easy, give good rewards, and experience. To get their fly to
The barrens and walk. Once you first enter, you'll see a burnt down
inn, called the Shady Rest Inn, with few items lying around. If you
click the items they give you quests. When you grab them head to
Brackenwall Village grab the flight path, and the quests, than start
walking south to mudsprocket. Once there, do the usual, pick up the
quests, and flightpath. I'd recommend flying back to Brackenwall and
finishing the lower level quests around that area, so thay you don't
wait to long and get less experience from the mobs. These quests should
get you from to 41-42.
Since there are still the badlands
quests to finish, as well as swamp of sorrows, you can gead there if
you ran out of quests early. I would recommend going to the Badlands
first, its a great area.
There are a group of 4 instances
combined into 1 zone called The Scarlet Monastery. These may be some of
the best instances in the game. The first one is for level 30s, the
graveyard. At level 32, the Library, and 35 the armory, and at 38 the
cathedral. They have great gear, especially mail. If you enjoy doing
instances, run these, if you don't, you can skip them.
If you have you money for a mount, go buy it at 40!
[B5] Level 41-50
I
found these levels very tough to get started with on my first
character. I bought my mount at 40, and spent days running around on my
new mount. Having a mount is a lot of fun, and makes leveling a lot
easier. Not only can you get from place to place faster, but they also
help you avoid getting kill by nearby players, they can't kill you if
they can't catch you. These are some entertaining levels, if you slack
off, they can become boring, because progression will seem slow, but if
you focus, and don't get stuck at a certain level, you'll have a blast.
These are the levels wear your class starts to become a real class. You
have the majority of your talents, and at 50, you will have your 41
talent (unless you spec'd into other things). These are the levels
where you should focus on learning your class mechanics. You've figured
out the basics, now its time to put it all together, and make it work.
Areas
Feralas (40-48)
Tanaris Desert (40-48)
The Hinterlands (47-50)
Searing Gorge (48-50)
Azshara (46-54)
The Blasted Lands (45-52)
Felwood (48-54)
To
start off these levels you should finish up the areas you haven't
finished yet, whether thats STV, Badlands, ect. Don't stress over
finishing each and every one of them, just the majority. Don't waste
time doing quests which are too hard.
When you're finished
with those, start off by going to Tanaris. I personally don't like this
area very much, so I like to get the quests out of the way as soon as
possible. Get the first few quests out of the way. You can find the
majority of the quests in Gagetzan, and the rest east of their, in a
small beach town. Don't worry about finishing the orange / red quests,
we'll be coming back. Head to freewind post and than walk to Feralas.
Feralas has one horde town, and a lot of good quests. Start off by
doing the Gnoll quests, than the sprites, than the ogres. Each quest
here has nice chains. With your new mount things should be a lot faster
as well. If these quests start to get too hard, head back to Tenaris
and finish the quests that were once orange / red, when you finish
those, come back.
If you have trouble reaching level 47 from
these 2 areas do some grinding, or go to Zul'farrak, in Tanaris, a
instance for people 46-50. When you do reach 47-48 head to the
Hinterlands. The horde town is hard to find, and my first time leveling
a horde I actually completely missed the town and skipped this area.
This is by far my favorite area though. The quests are unbelievable,
they're fun, and extremely easy. Blizzard spent a lot of time on this
area, don't skip it. You should be close to hitting 50, or 50 when you
finish the quests here. There used to be a 5 man group quest area,
which was nerfed in 2.3, you can now solo the area. There are about 6
quests for this small area, and they give amazing experience, do them,
or you'll regret it later on.
When you finish with the
Hinterlands, its time to move onto Searing Gorge. This is also one of
my favorite areas, its a very small area, with a lot of quests, not
many people level here because they simply don't know how to get here.
Its actually very simple. Fly to the Badlands, and walk along the west
path out of Kargath, and you will see a small path, which leads to
searing gorge. Theres a small town in along the southern edge, it can
sometimes be hard to find. This is a confusing area to be in for the
first time. It may be small, but it has two levels, one is above
ground, than belong the ground is infested with caves, filled with dark
iron dwarves and dinosaurs. These quests should bring you to 50. If you
run out of quests early, go to the Blasted Lands. The Blasted Lands
have very weird quests. The quests there are all related to the animals
in the area. They each drop items, and those items you need for about 5
quests, so theres a lot of killing to do. Its hard to explain without
seeing it for yourself. Don't too far away from the base, or you may
run into level 60 elites that will one shot you.
[B6] Level 51-60
I
don't really like these levels. I find each time I level a character, I
get stuck in these zones without quests left. Luckily there are some
great spots to grind, which also have great loot tables. By now you
should understand how most of the areas work, so I will be brief with
the explanation for the next 10 levels.
Areas:
Felwood (48-55)
Un'Goro Crater (48-55)
Burning Steppes (50-55)
W. Plaguelands (51-58)
E. Plaguelands (53-60)
Winterspring (53-60)
Silithus (55-60)
To
start things of well do what we did in past levels, finish off any left
over quests. Its always a smart idea to finish the quests in a zone
before you leave, or you'll find yourself running out of quests too
often. When you finish those quests, head to felwood, thankfully
Blizzard added a flight point the the Emerald Sanctuary, so it wont be
that bad leveling there now. Right, you'll want to fly to spintertree
post, and walk to felwood. Right as you enter, there will be a small
village, with a few quests to kill furblogs, and surrounding critters,
do them, than head north. Theres a hidden town which most people miss.
It doesn't have many quests, but there are a few, Bloodvenom post. Its
near the middle of Felwood, along the west edge. There is no path
leading to it, just a small green, stream.
When done with
Felwood, start walking to Un'goro crater. To get to un'goro crater,
you'll have to fly to Tanaris, than walk. Un'goro is a unique area,
you'll be shocked the first time you go there. Its like going back in
time, about 62 million years back. The area is infested with dinosaurs,
you'll feel like you're in Jurassic Park. Again, the town is hard to
find in this area. The town is called Marshal's Refuge, its on the edge
of the area in the middle south edge. Some of the quests here take a
long time complete, and are very annoying. The area needs to be redone,
but its uniqueness makes up for the slacking quests.
When
you're complete with this area we're going to go to Western
Plaguelands. This is an odd area, the majority of the quests come from
the enterance of WPL, along the border of Tirisfal Glades. Pick up the
quests, with the exception of any quests for Scholomance, or Stratholme
(If you want to do them later, you're welcome to, but they're level 60
instances). When you go to the farms for one of the quest chains,
you'll find some quests, they're easy, and give decent rewards, so do
them. There isn't much to say about WPL.
When you're done
with WPL you're going to want to go to Burning Steppes, the town here
is in the middle, southern edge, over a small bridge. This area is
similar to the Searing Gorge, except for it doesn't have as many
tunnels.
After the Burning Steppes were off to Winterspring.
I like this area quite a bit, but it lacks good quests in my opinion.
Fly to felwood, and than walk to northern felwood and go through the
furblog cave. If the furblogs attack you, just keep running. If you
gain rep with them, they wont attack you. There are the quest zones in
Winterspring, one being Everlook, the main town, as well as a small
camp near the enterance, south of the path you will be walking on.
Now,
off to Eastern Plauelands. This area is similar to WPL, the quests are
spread out. The town here is Lights Hope Chapel, but the majority of
the quests come from scattered areas around EPL. There are a lot of
quests here, the only hard part about the area is that its targeted for
55-58s, and finding the quests can be hard.
You have 2
options after EPL, if you're level 58, and want to go to outlands you
can. The quest rewards in Hellfire Peninsula are better than Silithus
quests. There are also enough quests in outlands, so you'll never run
out early.
Felwood (48-55)
Un'Goro Crater (48-55)
Burning Steppes (50-58)
W. Plaguelands (51-58)
[B7] Level 61-70
Since
you should never run out of quests in Outlands because there are so
many, I'm going to say my goodbyes now. 61-70 should be cake, they are
very fun levels, but there is nothing to 'guide' someone with. The
areas are straight forward, and not very easy.
Hellfire Peninsula (58-63)
Zangarmarsh (60-64)
Terokkar Forest (62-65)
Nagrand (64-67)
Blade's Edge Mountains (65-68)
Netherstorm (67-70)
Shadowmoon Valley (67-70)
Remember to save for your flying mount which you get at 70!
