Butterfly Garden

We visited the butterfly garden this week.  Here's Daddy with Oma.

Wow, I've never seen a butterfly before, I wonder if I can catch it!

Ooooh a tarantula!

Ahhh, but mommy's hair is more fun than a tarantula!  We had a great time with family, lots of pictures, too many for right now but we'll share more later.

Here's a selection of pictures from our Christmas in Polk City, and happy 60th anniversary to grandma and grandpa and happy birthday to Aunt Bev.  Kaden had fun playing with the wrapping paper, and he really liked the little dolls and snowmen that sang to him!

12/25 Merry Christmas to all our family and friends!

Kaden has been having fun this AM, after reading the Christmas story (Luke 2) he has been playing with his presents and the wrapping paper.  He does look a little confused by it all, we're hoping that he will know the real reason for Christmas at a young age.  Now though, it is nap time!  Pictures will be up soon!

12/18 8 months old

Here's some of the things I've been up to this month...

A trip to Disney...I watched the fireworks!

Followed by a very coooold day at the park. I got to ride on the swings!

And then there was Mommy's birthday.  We went to look at Christmas lights, here I am peeking out.  I was asleep when we got there, wow I thought I was still dreaming when I woke up and saw all the lights! 

Oh and I'm 8 months old now!

Christmas time is here...

 We picked out our Christmas tree, I was fascinated with the whole experience.  Now there is this tree in our living room, I don't really understand that  so I've been staying away from it (at least so far!).  And Mommy's been singing Jingle Bells, Frosty the Snowman, Away in a Manger and a lot of other songs which always make me smile!

12/4 Pictures

7 months old as of November 18th,  I'm all over the house now and enjoying every minute but I don't understand why everything I reach for is moved just before I get my hands on it

daddy and I cheered for mommy when she ran a 5K race  yesterday, next time she's going to push me in the stroller!

I've learned to pull myself up and stand, here was one of the first times and mommy and daddy were laughing, all I wanted was to get out of the crib, forget napping I've got places to go...

And here's one last picture for you, I went to the park  and got to ride in the swing and even slide with daddy!! 

We hope you like the changes to the website this month.  I've been having some trouble with the columns so some links have been taken off and unfortunately the old months are difficult to correct.  Google has added some neat features which should be fun.  And starting in January '07, I will start a page with a new address so stay tuned.  --Laura
