La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing support, encouragement, information, and education to women who want to breastfeed.
About La Leche League
La Leche League is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping women breastfeed their babies. A typical meeting includes an informal discussion of the meeting topic and a time for sharing questions or concerns. Being in touch with La Leche League can give you a network of support you need as well as an opportunity to learn about the benefits and joys of breastfeeding from other mothers.
Breastfeeding is a simple and natural process, but you may need support and information on the correct positioning of the baby at the breast, working and breastfeeding, avoiding problems and overcoming any difficulties that may occur.
Knowing other women who have breastfed their babies can be helpful and reassuring. Having accurate, up-to-date information is also important.
Group meetings are based on information found in THE WOMANLY ART OF BREASTFEEDING.
You are welcome to come a little early during the gathering time or to stay a few minutes after the meeting to socialize with other mothers.
