La Leche League of San Luis Obispo is a chapter of La Leche League International. LLLI is dedicated to helping mothers worldwide to breastfeed through mother-to-mother support, encouragement, information, and education, and to promote a better understanding of breastfeeding as an important element in the healthy development of the baby and mother.

The local group offers monthly meetings where mothers can gather, find answers to breastfeeding questions and concerns, participate in an informational meeting on a breastfeeding topic, and meet other mothers from the area. Meeting topics include: The Art of Breastfeeding, A New Baby at Home, Overcoming Difficulties, and Nutrition and Weaning.

Several La Leche League Leaders in the area volunteer to answer phone calls and emails from families with breastfeeding questions or concerns. Please contact a local leader to get the help you need to find success in breastfeeding.
