The Little Pinwheels is a licensed home daycare located in North East

Longmont. We use a fun, educational preschool curriculum through Mother Goose Time. The curriculum consists of a wide range of materials and activities that prepare children for Kindergarten. In addition to the preschool program, we learn valuable social skills through group and independent play.  We take nature walks, play at the park, and try to eat lunch outside everyday during the summer. I have a fully fenced backyard with plenty to do for children of all ages, including climbing equipment, sandbox, ride on toys, and a pretty good sized playground.

I have a very tight group of kids, all of my families, but one, have been with me for over a year- most families, since I opened in 2007. When choosing families for my daycare, I make sure the personalities of the children/parents will mesh well with my group. We spend a lot of time together, so this is imperative.

In June 2010, I had a Qualistar rating. It was a great opportunity and it taught me so much. A Qualistar rating is an advanced rating that licensed child care centers and homes can take part in. It goes above and beyond the standard licensing requirements.
