STÄDNING - DE RIKA MÄNNISKORNAS PROBLEM
Ju mer saker du äger, desto mer får du städa och sortera. Och visst är det så att det inte krävs särskilt mycket ägodelar för att skapa sysselsättning och bekymmer
Som förklaring till titeln: om du just nu läser denna text, så kan vi dra slutstsen att du är rik, du tillhör en lycklig skara människor som inte bara har fått lära sig att läsa, men som också har tillgång till något så lyxigt som en dator!
Vi är rikare än vi kan förstå här i västvärlden. Har du någon gång klagat över diskberget i köket? Det har jag, särskilt eftersom vi inte har någon diskmaskin. Men en dag för några veckor sedan fick jag en plötslig insikt. Jag kom på hur otroligt otacksam jag var. Låt oss testa vår intelligens och slutledningsförmåga: Hur blev tallrikarna och glasen kladdiga?
Tänk att vi har något att smutsa ner dem med!
CLEANING – THE RICH MEN’S PROBLEM
The more things you own, the more get you [you get] to clean and sort (out). And surely is it so that it not [doesn’t] demands [takes] especially much belongings/possessions to create occupation and bothers/worries.
As (an) explanation to the title: if you right now read this text, so [then] can we draw the conclusion that you are rich, you belong to a happy crowd (of) people who not only have got to learn (them)selves to read, but who also has access to something so luxurous as a computer!
We are richer than we can understand here in the west(ern)-world. Have you some time [ever] complained over (about) the dish-mountain [washing up mountain-pile of dirty plates] in (the) kitchen? That have I, especially since we not [don’t] have any dish-machine [dishwasher]. But one day for some weeks since/ago got I a sudden insight. I came on [realized/found out] how unbelievebly ungrateful I was. Let us test our intelligence and end-leading-capacity [ratiocination/powers of deduction]: How became the plates and the glasses blotched/soggy/squishy?
Think that [Like: Wow, imagine/consider!] we have something to dirt down them with!
