There is a great need for professional audiological services around the world. There are many humanitarians providing a significant service to those in need. I want to do my part. As an unofficial part of the audiology doctorate program (AuD) at Utah State University, many of the professors and students organize a yearly humanitarian mission and travel somewhere where there is a need for improved hearing health care. In the past, many such missions have been performed in Mexico. In 2008 we performed our labors at schools and orphanages in the Dominican Republic. In 2009 we served in Costa Rica. We've also been fortunate enough to assist localy in Southern Utah in 2010. The program has adopted the name "mission from the hEARt" as a title for this yearly service. My name is Andrew Cobabe and as part of my personal dedication to service and hearing health, I have adopted the name "The Listen Mission," and created this site to chronicle my experiences. I have set up this website to provide the world with my personal memoirs in my Listen Mission. This site aims to provide pictures, information, personal anecdotes, and entertainment. Check out the mission page.
In addition to performing humanitarian work abroad, I want to provide everyone with a listening experience. I enjoy writing and recording music. I want to make those songs available to you. I've found that music greatly improves my hearing health. So my overall goals are to provide a listening experience for those that are in need abroad as well as music for those that care to listen. This is my "listen mission." So please take advantage of the wonderful gift of hearing and enjoy these songs on the listen page.
Let's all enjoy the great gift of hearing...that's all part of my "listen mission." |
This site is under constant construction. 100% of the donations received goes toward future "listen mission" humanitarian missions.
