About Lisa:

Lisa was born and raised in Miami, FL, and is the youngest of 5 children. Lisa graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2006. She currently works as an RN in Bone Marrow Transplant in Orlando. Some of her favorite things to do are travel, shop, spend time with friends and family, dance, watch movies,and go to happy hour with friends in Orlando.

About Fernando:

Fernando was born in Mexico and is the oldest of 3 boys. A talented artist, he graduated with his Bachelor of Arts in Digital Media Computer Animation in December 2007 from the University of Central Florida. Some of Fernando's hobbies include hanging out wth friends and family, art (painting, drawing, and more), watching movies, going to happy hour with friends, and home improvement projects.

About the Couple:

Fernando and Lisa met in January 2004. At the time, Lisa was a UF student living in Gainesville with Terri (her twin) and their sorority sister, Joyce. Joyce was dating a guy name Jorge, who went to school at UCF. For MLK weekend, the 3 roomies decided to go up to Tallahassee with Jorge and 2 of his frat brothers to attend an all-weekend event. Jorge brought along Fernando, who happens to be his frat brother. Over the weekend, Fernando and Lisa spent time together and got to know each other. Fernando instantly fell for Lisa. On February 18, 2004, they officially became a couple. They dated long-distance for 3 1/2 years, until Lisa finally moved to Orlando in August 2007.

The Proposal: December 20, 2007
 
Fernando took Lisa out to a delicious steak dinner at Charley's Steakhouse. Lisa had a feeling this might be it. Well dessert was done, and nothing had happened so she thought maybe he was waiting til the holidays. On the way home, he had a surprise. He blindfolded Lisa and he ended up bringing her to the pool overlooking the lake at their condo. Once she took off the blindfold, she saw a table, 2 chairs and Christmas lights set up. She followed the trail of lights to her surprise. There was nothing there, and when Lisa turned around to ask Fernando what was going on, he was there with her beautiful ring and asked her to be his wife!
