| I've been a teacher at first Whitingham School for 22 years, and when it merged with Wilmington to become Twin Valley Schools, the last 5 years. I began as the k-12 art teacher for Whitingham which I loved and have taught a whole generation of students, now I teach their children! When computers began coming into the schools I jumped on board and was mostly self-taught until 2001 when I earned my Masters in Teaching with Internet Technologies from Marlboro College Graduate Ctr. in Brattleboro. VT certified in both Art and Technology I now teach 60% time at the high school only, including Virtual High School (History of Photography). I teach Digital Photography and Web Design. I also teach for VT colleges including CCV and Bennington College and the Marlboro Grad Center. My summer classes for teachers in using technology in their curriculum have been popular. I am married and have two grown children. My son lives in Montana and my daughter lives in Australia. We connect via email, video chats, phone and social networking sites as well as visits in person. My husband and I spend half the year in VT and half in FL where he works as a carpenter in the winter and I teach two online classes (and manage the AACE website and tech support). I'm really looking forward to traveling virtually to China once again in 2008! |
