Barbara Lipkin loves to travel, and her "Colorful Journey" is an expression of the many beautiful and interesting places in the world. In addition to her landscapes and cityscapes of America, Europe, and Asia, she creates figurative “history” paintings, and explorations of the possibilities of expression of flowers and fruits. She prefers a bright, warm palette, and her paintings are known for their rich colors. Her preferred mediums are oils and pastels.
Barbara has been painting most of her life, has studied at the College of DuPage, and taken numerous classes and workshops throughout her career. She exhibits regularly at local and national venues, having had a number of solo shows and participated in many group shows. She is a member of the Chicago Artists’ Coaltion, Chicago Pastel Painters, American Jewish Artists’ Club, and the Naperville Art League.
