Already a Volunteer?

We are delighted that you have committed to volunteer for the 93rd Lions Clubs International Convention, Sydney.

We are now reaching the final stages of our preparation for the convention.  Most volunteers have been placed in a specific role (or roles) and wait to be instructed on how to best carry these out.

Training:

We request your attendance at one of our volunteer training sessions.

This session will secure your opportunity to be a part of the convention volunteer team and provide you with details about this year’s convention and your roles with us.
Training sessions will consist of general volunteer training followed by role specific training.
You will also receive your uniform, accreditation lanyard, volunteer handbook and volunteer position description at this session.
It will also be a great way to meet other volunteers and the Lions you will be working with.

You will need to RSVP to indicate which training session you will be attending.  Your roster will mention who to RSVP to for your role.
 

Please note: If your arrival date to Sydney is after Saturday, 26 June then proceed to the ‘Volunteer Gold Room’ downstairs at the Convention Centre for instruction and uniform issue.

ROSTERS

By the end of May you should receive a detailed roster from each Division to which you have been assigned, (in some cases your roles may involve several different Divisions ).
Please check this rosters carefully and ensure that you arrive 15 minutes prior to your shift start time. We depend on you to be efficient and friendly in your role.

If, for any reason, you are going to be late or cannot attend, then please contact your supervisor immediately.  A contact number will appear on your roster and on your volunteer position description.

Remember: When you receive your roster please RSVP to the contact person listed indicating which training session you will be attending.
RESERVE VOLUNTEERS
 
Those of you that have been accepted as Volunteers but have not been allocated to a specific volunteer role will form our reserve volunteers. Our reserve volunteers will play a vital role in the smooth and efficient running of our volunteer program and convention. Reserve volunteers will fill unfilled shifts and be lifesavers in those unforeseen circumstances such as someone not turning up for a shift or a sudden need for volunteers in a particular area. This group is most important to our success.
 
From 27th June, on your rostered day, please report to the ‘Volunteer Gold Room’ at the Sydney Convention Centre and check to see if, and where you are needed that day.
