The Farmers Market in Linlithgow this month coincides with the Advent Fair in the town, and always leads to a big increase in the number of stalls. We will use the Slow Food stall on that date to prepare some hot food - pigeon and pheasant soup (game sourced from Bonnytoun farm, and organic winter vegetables sourced from East Lothian) - to mark the 20th Anniversary of Slow Food International, which actually falls on 10 December. The recipe is on the recipes page |
The event went well - the soup was given away by 12:00 (donations gratefully received)and many friends stopped and chatted. New faces signed up for the email newsletter - and unusually for the Farmers Market - it was fair - though cold.
