posted 4 Sep 2009 13:14 by Slow Food Linlithgow   [ updated 5 Sep 2009 11:00 ]
Slow Food Linlithgow and Linlithgrow (Linlithgow Climate Challenge’s Food and Gardening Sub-group) are proud to be jointly hosting this very special event to celebrate a successful summer’s growing and the wonderful produce now being harvested!

This is an afternoon out on the farm for the whole family with lots of great local food, outdoor games, live music and entertainment.

There will be a spit roast Bonnytoun Farm lamb, Beecraigs venison casserole and a hot vegetarian dish (still to be decided)and lots of other good food made from produce donated by local gardeners and growers. The menu will be decided by the produce donations we receive. If you’re able to donate any fruit or veg, please get in touch. You’ll be asked to drop it off at Bonnytoun Farm on the Tuesday (15th September). Please prepare the produce, eg scrub and dry spuds, trim cabbages, etc.. all donations will be very gratefully received!

We need volunteers to help on the day with setting up and serving the food – if you can help please drop me an email.
