The Details
A pie & a pint is one of the great Scottish pub food traditions, and Slow Food Linlithgow & Platform 3 are giving you the chance to sample it in style. Steve Stewart, founder of Stewart Brewing, an award winning micro-brewery in Loanhead, will be on hand with four of his beers. From the light Edinburgh Gold to dark Stewart's 80/-, he'll answer any questions you might have on brewing the perfect beer.
To compliment these excellent beers we will have pies from two incredible producers; Acanthus Pies of Glasgow & Boghall Butchers. Robert Corrigan of Acanthus will be there to talk you through making the perfect pie. He has also matched up four of his pork or lamb pies to each of the beers so you can have tasty match with each one. Everyone attending will get a Scotch Pie World Championship winning pie from the Boghall Butchers, ideal to enjoy along with a post-tasting pint of Steve's beer, which Platform 3 will have on draught for the evening.
