 A Life...Is A Terrible Thing To Waste.

Chatting with a friend online who's suffered a terrible loss. Seems his Motivator doesn't work  - either that or he's lost it altogether. People can be so sloppy leaving those things around. No wonder they get misplaced!  I'm sure he'll find it sometime though. I'm betting it's right where he neglected to pick up his Purpose.  Two such important things, and left lying around  still in the wrappers they came in.

Wash Your Rice Bowl...

A monk told Joshu, "I have just entered the monastery. Please teach me."

Joshu asked, "Have you eaten your rice porridge?

The monk replied, "I have eaten."

Joshu said, "Then you had better wash your bowl."

At that moment the monk was enlightened.

One Great Idea

Thinking about how to create change in a way that is immediately accessible and available to all, it came to me that one of my Great Ideas that has laid fallow for far too many years, could easily transition into the actioning of other people's great ideas, at the same time I brought mine to life. Click here for more.

Big idea small idea, the size doesn't matter. What matters is the activity to decide to move to action on something. It's my guess that one action that is brought to life may act as the drop that 'primes the pump' for a stream of other actions to move you closer to what you want to achieve in business, and perhaps in life too. Now that's something to get excited about

Here's a great idea for promoting businesses locally. All we need is an Australian version.   With location details for your  business, a blog and all you need to put together and distribute a newsletter, it has a great potential. Check it out here with my Ventura link:Merchant Circle  What a great way to let your customers and clients get to know you better.

Starting Out

Here's a place where I have put some bits and pieces from a range of areas that encompass business, and a whole lot more.

I love this Google site for adding pages on the fly!

A Story About Activity Without Purpose

John Henry Fabre, the great French naturalist, conducted a most unusual experiment with some Processionary Caterpillars. Processionary Caterpillars blindly follow the one in front of them. That's why they are called "processionary"--they travel in a procession.

Fabre filled a flower pot close to the rim with dirt. He then carefully arranged some Processionary Caterpillars in a circle around the rim of the flower pot, so that the lead caterpillar actually touched the last one, making a complete circle. In the center of the flower pot he put pine needles, which is food for the Processionary Caterpillar.

The caterpillars started walking around the circular flower pot. Around and around they went, hour after hour, day after day, night after night. They obtained no nourishment, no rest. For seven full days and seven full nights they went around the flower pot. Finally, they dropped dead of starvation and exhaustion.   Which begs the question for us all...

What Purpose Is Your Activity Serving?

A Warning Of Sorts?
