Lindsey Provencher Jasmine Jawato Young Mi Ashworth How To Better Our World Our world as we know it is in a state of severe hardship. Not only are we faced with problems with the economy and actual functioning of world, but we are constantly faced with hatred, betrayal and fear. The world is no longer a safe place for humans and greed fills the mind of many people. It is rare to find a genuine and friendly soul in society. Because of all the corruption, poverty, and evil in world, the only solution is to restart civilization. In our world today, we are surrounded by dishonesty, lies, deceit, and hate. Through the war in Iraq, anyone can see the amount of hatred between rivaling nations. Through racism and sexism present within America, you can see the hatred within our own country. Our inability to reach common bases with other countries portrays our lack of love and compassion towards others. Poverty not only exists in third world countries, but also right here in our city as seen in downtown Los Angeles. The amount of injustice seen in our world shows that it should stop existing. The financial hardship that is present in our community encourages corruption. The desperation of the poor forces them steal and scam for money. Trust and compassion rarely exist anymore. People’s identities are constantly being stolen. Technology has made it easier to reproduce personal information such as credit cards and birth certificates. Even restaurant workers find ways to cheat people out of their money by telling people that there credit card is not working and they have to pay cash; they then proceed to steal the cash and erase the receipts from the customers visit. The crime rates are extremely high and the environment is not longer safe, which present valid reasons why the civilization should be destroyed. While typing on a computer, if you make a mistake, you can just easily hit a backspace button and remove what is in front of you. Mankind should be the same way, and obviously, the best way to solve all of the problems in the world is to hit the restart button. By wiping out all of civilization and having a new beginning, the world can start over without the greed and the hatred. Mankind can learn to live and thrive as one and the purpose of life will be to live for the sake of others. Corruption, poverty, and evil will no longer be part of mankind's vocabulary and will not even exist. By eliminating the main sources of the problems that exist today, the world can become a better place to live. |
