Celebration of Life
... a journey through time and space
Celebration... a way to commemorate the joy of living in a world of unlimited opportunities. When we were very young, we accepted the world at face value. We had no body of experience with which to judge what happened to us or around us. But over the years we grew - first with curiosity, then with urgency. We gained in awareness and the more we knew, the more we needed to know. We grew out of being illiterate into (for most of us) a literacy that enhanced our understanding of many conditions of humankind. Each day that passes gives us a blessed opportunity to gain new skills and practice new talents. This site provides a place for me to show the world what I've learned. Reading Why do I find this so vital? I have a dyslexic son who taught me that a wonderful life can be had without reading... but I enjoy it so much! Here's my current TBR list (books I intend to read) ... and here is a list of Books I've Read During 2010. I'm currently reading Don Quixote and listening to Moby Dick (as an audiobook). Horses I'm fixated on horses this year... they're so gosh-darn lovely! It started when I started listing Horse Movies. Then I went on to write about model horses, horse blogs, and horse abuse. I fell in love with a black horse named Bucephalus ... but he was before my time. He belonged to Alexander the Great! Another great horse of history I love is the Godolphin Arabian... I also wrote about him here: King of the Wind. Besides all this, I started a horse blog of my own: Horses in the Wind.
