Samantha Vamos

Samantha Vamos is the author of two bilingual books Before You Where Here, Mi Amor and The Cazuela That the Farm Maiden Stirred. She is currently working on an all English book entitled, Alphabet Trucks.

Susan O'Halloran

Susan O'Halloran is a renowned storyteller. She came to Lincoln and shared stories about love, friendship, and being true to oneself. She then went to some fifth and fourth grades classes to discuss the process of creating their own stories.

Peter Brown

Aaron Reynolds is the author of several children's books, such as Chicks and Salsa (2010 nominated Monarch Award book), Buffalo Wings, Joey Fly, Superhero School, Back of the Bus, and the Tiger Moth graphic novel series. Mr. Reynolds' visit to Lincoln included reading Chicks and Salsa and then making salsa with the primary students. With the older students, Mr. Reynolds discussed the process of writing, creating, and publishing a graphic novel. He then had students break out into groups and create their very own grahic novel. It definitely was a fun-filled day at Lincoln!

Michael Wexler and John Hulme are the authors of The Seems series. They came to Lincoln and discussed how they created this alternate world and the creative process involved in creating a book series.
