We are based in Lincoln with members all over the UK. Membership is open to anyone over the age of 18 who wishes to cave regularly and who supports the aims of the Club and the Scout Association.

We started life in 1983 when the members of the local Venture Scout Unit decided that caving as an activity could better be developed, if those interested formed a separate caving club.Club History

Now, although we have kept close links with Scouting and regularly introduce young people to caving in Derbyshire, we do have a Programme that is primarily for its members and suits all abilities. This includes day trips to Derbyshire as well as weekends in the Mendips, South Wales and Yorkshire. We also have an interest in historical mines from all regions of the UK. At least once a year we have a trip overseas and have visited France, Bulgaria, Czech Republic and Mallorca.

We pride ourselves that the training we provide to new members is first class. We can also provide any equipment that the novice may need, as well as rope testing facilities. Training takes place at Altham Terrace where we have two containers to store gear and access to trees for ladder and SRT practice.

We meet on Monday evenings during the summer, at, about 6.30pm at Altham Terrace for training, trying out new kit and gear or to maintain the buildings. On the second Sunday of each month we meet at the Victoria Inn at about 8pm for a social get together.
