Welcome to lifeinthecloud..

An introduction to the principles, ideals and fundamentals behind LitC..

What's it all about? Part social network, part blog, part podcast, part forum and a whole lot of let the chips fall where they may. This site is a creative sanctuary away from the bitchiness and happy slapping of the internet.

Within these pages you will find opinions on lifestyle, technology and design. You will find entertaining videos, music and humour. This is a communal space for creative types to come together and discuss, create, laugh and relax. A place where we celebrate creativity, open-mindedness, DIY attitudes, new technology and new ideals. Essentially embracing this modern life, taking it by the balls and taking advantage of the amazing tools and resources we have available to us. Harnessing the power of the collective to advance the individual and the group.

Feel free to contribute in anyway you like. For starters though and to help you settle in check out the base project from digita@thegrainsilo, a four part microseries made for Portable Media Players and new media market. Or stop by the pages of HBBP and check out the plethora of work made over the last 11 years, from the boy Hughes.

Admittedly, if you read and understood the above, we probably don't need to say this. However a warning to the 'hide behind my monitor and say some real nasty s**t about you on youtube/facebook/myspace' brigade..'.

DO NOT ENTER

if you are going to slag off or abuse peoples opinions, slag off or abuse people in general OR if you believe modern life is rubbish (because in our opinion, it's not). This is basically our one rule. Abuse this, the site itself or the people/groups within and you will be banned. Quite simple really; Constructive criticism, yes. Abusive or derogatory commentary, no. Like we said at the beginning this is a sanctuary away from all that. If you are one of these people and we know your out there, then don't even bother.

The site itself is still in beta and will continue to change and evolve, not only as we settle in to our virtual surroundings, but also as (fingers crossed) more members join.

One more thing. You may have noticed we have adverts within these pages. Yes thats right, we have to pay the bills too. How else do you expect a site like this to remain free for everyone, brass buttons?? Seriously we will keep the advertising to a minimum, but we will ALWAYS keep in mind your surfing pleasure above all else.

So, rant over,

and enjoy/participate/create.
