Smartboard

Set Up
- The Smartboard is located in the upper library for presentations.
- You will need a laptop, your own or the library’s laptop.
- Place the laptop on the counter to the right of the Smartboard.
- Plug in the internet cable
- Plug in the RGB cord (15 pin, D shaped with two screws).
- Plug in the USB cable from the board.
- Plug in the audio cable to the headset plug (picture is on computer near the plug)
8. Next turn on the Smartboard projector by pushing the white button on the
left of the pen tray under the board. The light will blink green until
a menu appears on the board.
9. Everything is working fine if the light in the bottom right hand corner of the board is a solid green.
10. The Screen menu will ask what you would like to do: Press Computer 1 with your hand on the screen. 
11. Now turn on the computer. Log in as normal.
Trouble Shooting
- If the “no signal” message is on the board, press the function key and f4 (or f5) simultaneously. Wait a few seconds, if still no signal, press again. It should pop up.
- If orientation is off, your touch is not matching the screen. Find the two buttons in the middle of the pen tray under the whiteboard. Press these buttons simultaneously. Then follow the directions on the screen.
Shutting Down the Smartboard Projector
Important: Remember to always turn off the projector. The bulbs cost $400. Leaving them on when not in use will shorten the life of the bulb.
- Press the green on/off button on the left of the pen tray.
- On the board a menu will ask: Shut down? Now or 30 seconds. Press: Now. Board will go off and projector will complete it’s cool down cycle.
