Flat Panel Screen

Using the Flat Panel Monitor (lower library)

With VCR/DVD

 

  1. Turn Monitor on with the button on the lower right hand side near the standby/on display (underneath). A green light will appear on the standby/on display.
  2. Choose either videocassette or DVD disk. Power for the player will come automatically.
    1. For Videocassette - gently push cassette into the opening on right side of Sony Player. (on the shelf under the screen)
    2. For DVD disk - press open button on the left, then lay the disk onto the rack.  Then close.

 

  1. If you get a no signal message at the bottom of the screen, use the remote control labeled Pioneer.  On the top of the remote control press the gray Video Button, a picture should appear.
  2. The Pioneer remote will then be used only for volume control.

 

 

  1. To control the videocassette or DVD disk, fast forward, stop, disk menu, etc. Use the Sony DVD remote control.
  2. When finished, rewind videocassettes by pressing the rewind button at the bottom of the Sony remote control, left of the play button. 
  3. To remove cassettes from player push the tiny button to the right of the videocassette door.
  4. To remove a DVD, press the button to the right of the DVD door.  Remove the DVD.
  5.  Turn off monitor with the button on the lower right hand side near the standby/on display.  (same as the on button)
  6. Turn off Sony Video/DVD player with button on the bottom on the left of the player.

 

 

 

 

  With a laptop PC

  1. Hook up the cords lying on the top of the shelf below the monitor.  
    1. Orange cord is internet connection
    2. Black cord is for sound
    3. Beige is computer hookup cord.
  2. Using the Pioneer remote control, press the gray RGB/PC button near the top.  If you are still not getting a picture, simultaneously press the function key and (probably) f-4 or f-5 on the laptop until a picture appears. 
  3. Then use the Flat Screen Monitor as your computer screen to demonstrate or show a DVD.
  4. When finished, turn off monitor with the button on the lower right hand side near the standby/on display.  (same as the on button)
  5. Remove all cords from the lap top PC.
