School Email and Email Netiquette
 

School email accounts must be used for all school related business.

School email accounts are not private.

 

  • Double-check where you send your email, especially when you reply to a mailing list message.
  • Always include a subject in the subject line
  • Make sure recipients can open the attachments you send them by agreeing on their format beforehand.
  • Forward email only with the knowledge of the original sender.
  • Email leaves a permanent record. Everything you mail will be used against you.
  • If it's personal (and you want to keep it that way) - use your own personal account.
  • Use Blind Carbon Copy (BCC) to send bulk e-mail
  • Be aware of time line - not everyone checks their mail at the same time
