I'm the health sciences librarian for the College of Pharmacy and College of Nursing at the University of Tenneessee Health Science Center.
As your personal librarian, what I can do for you:
- Be the initial contact for library questions or problems
- Share information about library resources and services
- Provide free literature searches for faculty members
- Offer reference management services (e.g., one-on-one EndNote or EndNote Web consultations; using social bookmarking sites)
- Offer database training sessions for students, research assistants, and faculty members either in group or individually
- Offer demos and workshops of new resources and services of interest to your college (e.g., Database Searching for Pharmacy Students and My NCBI Workshop for nursing PhD students)
- Provide one-on-one library orientation for new faculty members and coordinate group orientation for new students
- Consult appropriate sources to suggest books to order for your college
- Provide current awareness services (eg.,keeping current on your topics using automatically email alerts or RSS feed)
- Collaborate with faculty in educational activities that promote
information literacy.
