How do I embed a YouTube video in my blog, wiki, or website?

How do I link to a specific time in a YouTube video?

  • It's easy to create a link which starts at a specific part of a long YouTube video. Just add a bit of html code to the end of the URL link.

Here's an example of the html code to do this:  #t=4m11s The first part #t= is the code for a time stamp. The second part is minutes and seconds, so 4m11s goes directly to 4 minutes and 11 seconds in the video.

If I wanted to share a link to a specific part of a long video, I can add #t=4m11s to the video of a Vermont Youth Orchestra concert in Paris to the moment where my daughter soloed for 10 seconds in Paris(!) I could instead link directly to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zX17fvaxIAE#t=4m11s.
