Syllabus

Lai-Ga-Sau Kung Fu is a structured martial art, having a written syllabus right through from complete beginner to extremely advanced techniques only available to instructors to further own their development.

There are seven coloured grades before the first black (Dan) grade. Thereafter, once instructorship has been awarded, a further five Dan grades await before Mastership of the style.

Unlike some martial arts we do not advocate the holding of black grades by young children. We are strong believers in the principle that those individuals holding such grades should have the physical presence to back-up their achievements. As such we will only grant a full black grade to persons aged eighteen or over but, where appropriate, we may award a Junior Black grade to younger students but he/she must re-grade for the full black grade having attained the age of eighteen.
