Instructors

Professional instruction is an essential part of Lai-Ga-Sau Kung Fu and we are fortunate to have instructors who are completely dedicated to the welfare and development of every student as an individual, using their vast experience to encourage maximum potential.

In addition to instructors holding various Black (Dan) grades, we encourage our senior students of 7th Kup Brown Sash grade to become assistant instructors, teaching them the responsibilities of instructorship and helping them mature their own techniques in readiness for their own Black grades.

The full team of instructors currently comprises:
  1. Chief Instructor - Lee MacKenzie (4th Dan)
  2. Senior Instructor - Steve Tilley (2nd Dan)
  3. Senior Instructor - Dave Linger (2nd Dan)
  4. Instructor - Avril MacKenzie (1st Dan)
  5. Instructor - Mike Weldon (1st Dan)
  6. Instructor - James Weldon (1st Dan)
  7. Assistant Instructor - Tom Robinson (7th Kup Brown Sash)
  8. Assistant Instructor - Arlene Moxon (7th Kup Brown Sash)
  9. Assistant Instructor - Jack Musson (7th Kup Brown Sash)
Already hold a senior martial arts grade?

We are always happy to welcome senior students or instructors from other styles to join us and train for their own Dan grade and instructorship. Particularly if you hold a Kung Fu grade, we can usually carry this across for you (subject to proof of grade being supplied).

Want to run your own martial arts club?

We offer Instructor Franchises to senior grades in other styles. Find out more.
