This committee includes parents, community members, and staff members from Waddell Elementary and Lylburn Downing Middle School. It meets a minimum of four times each year and evaluates the gifted education program annually and presents that evaluation to the Lexington City School members. The Lexington City School Board approved the appointment of four new members to the Gifted Advisory Committee: Courtney Diette, Laura Lanier, Lai Lee, and Chuck Newhouse. Mr. Newhouse will serve as the secretary for the year. Mary Webster will continue as chair and Laura Lanier will be vice chair. Other parent committee members are Atin Basu, Patti Colliton, Cristi Crittenden, Bill Hamilton, and Mohammed Kamara. Teacher representatives are Frances Grist, Mark Sterling and Margaret Swisher. 2011-12 Meeting Dates All meetings will be from 3:30 to 4:30 at Waddell Elementary School in room 102
(Mr. Kendall's room, downstairs next to the cafeteria).
