Our project needs you!
Part of what makes our project unique is that both Seattle and Salmon Bay are home to kids who fall within the autism spectrum (ASD). To design a better playground for all, we need to know what that means for these kids.
We are fortunate to have the experiences and insights of so many people to inform us about what an ASD-friendly playspace would be like. One of those experts is Sara Gardner, who sits on the board of the Autism Society of Washington and is the Vice President of the King County chapter.
Our playground is an important community asset: it's community-designed, community-funded, and community-built!
