MLS Integration Introduction

The concept of integrating to your MLS provider is very simple.

Contact information about all the active Sales Associates in your MLS is maintained in some way by every active listing office in your MLS  They use contact details to take messages on behalf of the other agents, and to book appointments.  Since the MLS has the data and since it's usually public data (they are all putting it on their WEB sites), it makes sense to feed that data from the MLS to quick!Office Commander so that every office on the MLS doesn't have to pay their staff to waste their time doing it manually.

Listing information, whether typed by the Sales Associate or administrator and loaded to the MLS, is often typed many times into many systems.  quick!Office Commander can be programmed to accept feeds from the MLS to import the listings into quick!Office Commander, which is then used to conduct the daily business of the company.

Leading Edge Software never sees any of the above data.  Once the integration is programmed, the quick!Office Commander buys the add-on and the data flows directly from the MLS to quick!Office Commander in that office.  Security assures that each office can pull only their own listings.

What You Need To Get This Started with YOUR MLS

Leading Edge Software can't make the request on your behalf to the Board or even to their software provider. Requests from Users are required, and as you can imagine, they have a much greater impact. Leading Edge does not charge the MLS, however, you are required to have the three prerequisite modules in YOUR office. Those modules are MLS Import, Appointment Manager and Web Access. They work together as follows:
  1. MLS Import enables us to pull the listings and agents. The agents have a secure, encrypted and unique code that enables us to match them to "real" agents. This is a security feature.
  2. Appointment Manager has all the logic needed to process appointment requests. You need this even if you don't track unconfirmed appointments, because the system still needs to do all the other appointment management functions (connecting requests to the listings, reports, notifying people on their devices, etc.)
  3. Web Access is where the MLS connects to in order to actually request the showing. MLS will connect to the correct listing and provide the secure agent id.
We have created a few templated letters which you can modify with your personalized message. We took care of all the technical jargon, and of course the objective is to get your MLS interested enough to make contact with us at sales@les.ca. Once they contact us and we know who to deal with, we will take it from there.

If you would like further information, we would be more than happy to give you a short demo and explain how you can save so much time and money with this feature.
