Offices belonging to the Toronto, Barrie and Hamilton-Burlington Real Estate Boards have been taking advantage of the MLS BOOK APPOINTMENT button since 2005 and 2007, respectively.

The reduction in phone calls, the increase in accuracy of information, and the overall streamlining of the process of requesting appointments, is saving brokers time and money and reducing the frustration of support staff when booking appointments over the phone.

The showing salespeople enjoy the convenience of not having to call for their appointments during specific office hours; there’s no need to wait on hold until busy staff can break away to take their call; they don’t have to spell names or repeat the company’s phone number.

The listing office can further streamline the confirmation process by sending showing confirmations via e-mail instead of constantly phoning the other office. TIP:  Be sure the other offices check their inboxes regularly for these confirmations.

Use this feature if your company would like to provide e-mail confirmations of showings to the showing agent’s company or directly to showing agents.  Because e-mail is not one hundred percent secure and does occasionally go down, we’ve made this feature optional so you can decide if it’s right for your business.

With this feature activated, the appointment confirmation process is greatly enhanced.  In the appointment slip, a "Notify Showing Agent" button is made visible which enables the administrator to send a confirmation by e-mail. If you do choose to enter the e-mail address of the individual showing agent in the Company e-mail address field in the External Agent Database, the e-mail confirmation will be sent directly to the Showing Agent. If you choose to use the e-mail address of the showing agent's company, click "Mass Change Company Info" to save this information for all agents within this company.
