The Soft Condensed Matter Research Group (SCMG) is part of the Condensed Matter Physics Laboratory and is located at the Physics Center, IVIC 

Research at the SCMG focuses on a broad spectrum of fundamental problems in soft condensed matter,  nonequilibirum physics and applied mathematics.   These include collective behavior in granular materials, elastic waves propagation in heterogeneous media, computational fluid dynamics, chaotic nonlinear systems,  and the statistical mechanics of driven dissipative systems far from equilibrium.
