Da hier in letzer Zeit nicht so viel los war, hier ein paar Updates, als Antwort auf öfter gestellte Fragen:
- PqDL wird weiterentwickelt, und es gibt schon eine neue SVN-Entwicklerversion, die Probleme mit Sonderzeichen behebt, eine Konfigurationsdatei und verschlüsselte Passwörter und ein paar Bugfixes enthält
- Es steht zwar auf der Downloadseite, aber da manche den fehlenden Downloadbutton auf Sourceforge missverstehen: PqDL ist auch für Linux/Mac verfügbar, und zwar momementan, indem man einfach die neueste SVN-Version auscheckt und (Python 2.7 und benötigte Module vorusgesetzt) ausführt. Da das etwas unpraktisch ist, werde ich den üblichen Weg gehen und Pakete bereitstellen.
- Wenn plötzlich ein
Malformed HTML-Fehler auftaucht, liegt das an einer kaputten Version von BeautifulSoup. Der Autor hat eine Erklärung veröffentlicht, und die Lösung ist, zu 3.0.8 oder 3.2 [nicht getestet] zu wechseln [betrifft nur die, die die SVN-Version verwenden] - Wenn beim Starten der Standalone-Version eine Komponente nicht gefunden werden konnte, fehlt die VC++-Runtime
- Falls GC.com sich ändert, wird PqDL natürlich sofort geupdatet, ist also als "zukunftssicher" zu betrachten :-)
- PqDL hat 212 Benutzer [die
update.leoluk.de nicht blockiert haben und die aktuelle Version verwenden ;-) ] - Diese Seite wird nur ein einziges Mal im Browser geöffnet, und das entsprechende Verhalten kann in der neuesten (SVN-)Version mit
--nobrowser oder --noupdate abgeschaltet werden. Nebenbei hoffe ich, dass mir diese Funktion niemand übel nimmt, falls doch, bitte beschweren. Die Updatefunktion kann übrigens keinen Code nachladen und ist vollständig im Quelltext zu betrachten ;-)

- PqDL is not "dead" and there's an SVN version that supports special chars in username/password using the config files that have been added as well. Some bugfixes and encrypted passwort support were introduced too.
- I already noted this on the download page, but as some people misunderstood the lack of a Linux/Mac download button: yes, it runs on Linux/Mac too, but is a bit more complicated. You have to check out the latest revision from SVN and install Python 2.7 and some required modules. As this isn't too useful, I'll do what everyone else does and provide packages for these systems.
- If you encounter a
Malformed HTML error, this is due to a broken version of BeautifulSoup. The author published an explanation. Just use the most recent version 3.2 [untested!] or 3.0.8. - If Windows complains about missing modules once you run pqdl.exe, you haven't imstalled the VC++-Runtime
- If GC.com changes and the parser breaks, PqDL will be updated instantly (so you can consider it to be safe for the future)
- PqDL has 212 users [who haven't blocked
update.leoluk.de and who use the latest version ;-) ] - This site will only opened once automatically, and you can disable this behaviour in the latest (SVN) version using the switch
--nobrowser or --noupdate.
By the way: this updater is not able to download or execute anything, and is fully available as source code. ;-)
