The Accra High-Level Forum is now just around around the corner. LenCD partners will participate in the CSO Forum 30/8-1/9 and the the HLF 2/9-4/9. AAA and Round Tables The Bonn Workshop Consensus has been a point of catalyzing inputs into the drafting of the Accra Action Agenda. The AAA has gone through several drafts since and the final draft that goes to Accra is much more explicit on capacity development. The OECD/DAC has further issued a background document to inform the deliberations in the 9 Round tables in Accra "Capacity Development in broad strokes". HLF Side Event Exploring the Bonn Consensus : Tough questions on capacity development 4 September 2008 at 13h-14h Participant Tent Room B The side event during lunchtime on 4 September will probing the Bonn Consensus with some hard questions on capacity development and the way forward. The side event is co-sponsored by LenCD and the Partner Contact Group with UNDP/UNDG, WBI, GTZ and JICA. It will take the form of a moderated panel and will take its starting point from the 6 action areas identified in the Bonn Workshop Consensus and further developed in the Perspectives on Capacity Development for Accra and beyond. >>> read more Market place display A display in the market place and and a flyer will advocate to put Capacity Development front and center to make development sustainable and disseminate the key messages from Bonn. It is foreseen that a presentation will be given at a dedicated time to explain the poster. Also the HLF Guidebook will contain more details. A CD ROM with knowledge resources on capacity development will be available for participants. This collection contains many useful documents drawn from major
research, policy guidance, tools and events developed in recent years. The
resources are grouped in 5 categories: case studies, analysis &
guidance, journals & newsletters, research
