I can't believe April has come and gone. I'm sure May will fly by just as fast and a full summer with Cannon will be here before I know it. We can't wait! Check back for May updates soon! We've got Cannon's spring school program, visits from Gig-ga-g0o and Pot-a-bon, daddy's spring football, and Cannon's 3rd birthday coming this month!

April 30...last day of lessons!

Cannon did spectacular his last two of three days of lessons! We were so proud of him. Jed, his teacher both days, did wonderful with him. Cannon talked about him at night and looked forward to seeing him each day! Cannon blew bubbles while kicking, kicked on his back, and went under water. When he came up, and after  a few coughs, Cannon gave Jed a big high five.

Oh....and.....maybe a highlight of  the swimming lessons was that two days in a row Cannon asked to go to the bathroom while he was swimming. He actually got out, went with Lance to the potty, tinckled a little...and then got back in the pool and finished the lesson!

 

Swimming Lessons!!!! April 28

Today was the first of 3 days of swimming lessons. Wow. He loves the water, its the "taking instructions from others" that isn't so easy. Here's pics before he got upset. Hopefully he'll do better tomorrow.

April 26-

Mommy and Daddy had a weekend date to Jimmy Buffet!

We really had a great place to watch the concert (on the floor in the back) but the parking lot before hand is where the sights were to be seen! Check out the Cock-a-til!

 

April 24

Cannon came to school with me this morning the see the baby chicks the 1st graders hatch each year. He wouldn't hold them by himself, but he petted them and scolded them for stepping on their food and in their water!

 

 Latest Cannon quote: While demanding that all three of us line up to race laps around the couch, Cannon gets down in "starter position" and yells...."Get its smart, GO!" ....instead of "Take your mark, get set, GO!"

April 20 Carter turns 2!!!

Happy Bday to Cannon's future girlfriend. She's also been big buddies with Cannon, Jack, and Ava since she arrived in 2006! Pictured here is an unknown (to me), Landon, Carter, Cannon, and Ava.

 

April 19th Daddy's 33rd Bday

We spent daddy's bday at Juju's house with lot's of playing in the big backyard! We played in Jojo's boat too!

April 13 Weekend Fun

Clint, Ginger, Madison (middle) and Kodi came through Friday night on their way to OU. Kodi and Cannon stayed together in Seguin their first year and we haven't seen them since. The kids played together so well, they were up until 11:00!

Gymnastics

Cannon has been taking gymnastics in since January. I've really been suprised at what he's been taught and picked up on. I guess I expected front rolls, but he also visits the uneven bars, balance beams, and learns the basics of cartwheels and flip-flops.

Cannon has become quite the "tumble bug". His favorites are forward rolls and  the trampoline and stretching seems to stretch is attention span to the limit. Ms. Tricia is a great coach and Cannon seems to be a little "sweet" on her!

 

 

April 3

Really? He seriously cannot get any sillier..but hey, he comes by it honest. And yes, we're obviously still fighting the "potty devil".
