In conjunction with Coopershill House Hotel and Slow Food NW, Leitrim Landscapes guided Tina Pommer and Nuala McNulty brought a group to the hut sites at Mullagh Na Fearna. The group is pictured here looking over Lough Arrow.
Treading in the footsteps of our ancestors, we learned about the food they ate, cooking recipes, low mileage, additive free ingredients and even got a few recipes for such delicacies as 'baked hedgehog' and millet with seeds.
The hike up to the sites and the cold temperature gave us all a good appetite for our fabulous 'slow food' lunch of venison and lots more at Coopershill. | |
