A1: Snowpeak Isle: The snowy island to the Northwest has the largest mountains in all the Great Sea. Some say there is a treasure on the highest peak that allows you to master the power of ice. The coast is rocky, and no boat can get to the beach; you’d have to fly there.

A2: Firepeak Isle: The opposite of Snowpeak Isle, Firepeak Isle is a fiery volcano filled with streams of fire and blazing hot winds. The beach is easily accessible, but they say you cannot last more than ten minutes on the isle without some sort of heat resistant fabric. They say there is a treasure in the hottest cavern that allows you to master fire.

A3: Six Ring Isle: An isle made up of six smaller islands, grouped in one category. The largest isle is the lowest to the ocean, while the smallest isle is the highest and hardest to climb. The isle, just like the other seven Ring Isles, is home to Moblins of all sorts. They say one of the seven shards of Din is here, as well as on all the other six isles.

A4: Upwind Isle: An island that always has the wind blowing north. The wind is cold, as is the weather. Although not as cold as Snowpeak, the island is so cold no civilization has flourished. With a cold and rocky land, no value is seen here. They say a Ghost Ship docks occasionally on the isle, but it is just a myth.

A5: Mysterious Swell: There is no island charted in this quadrant, but there seems to always be a mysterious Storm here. It destroys any ships that come by with its powerful winds. Treasure Hunters claim a Wind Curse has been placed on the isle that used to be there, and others say a weapon that controls the wind itself is there, and it is just defending itself. No one knows for sure, though.

A6: Downwind Isle: An island that is famous for always having a southern wind. Even the Wind Waker cannot change the wind here. The island is sunny and calm. There is a small village of humans on the island, and it is quite tropical. The villagers and friendly, and boast a reputable sale of sails. Moblins from the Six Ring Isle are occasionally seen on the shores, but not often.

A7: Imperial Outpost: An outpost of several Darknuts and Moblins from across the Great Sea. They have an outpost on this southern island, and in it, they train with powerful swords and breed new monsters. Nobody knows why they have taken an interest in this island, but some think they might be looking for something.

B1: Three Ring Isle: An isle that is cold, and snowy, and is made up of three different isles. Each isle is the same level, although only one isle is accessible by boat, due to the rocky shores. Moblin activity has come almost to a standstill lately, and none have been seen, but some people think that there may be some sort of supernatural belief behind it. Legends say that one of the seven shards of Din lies in the heart of the largest isle.

B2: Uncharted: An isle that is completely barren and unexplored. Some sailors passing by say they see a boy on the shores, but it is something of a myth. Some even have come up with a story claiming that he was shipwrecked and haunts the ships of lost sailors.

B3: Great Fairy Isle: Many say that a Great Fairy lives here, and that she will grant you an item of untold power if you find her. There is no visible route into the massive rock that is the island, but a sailor from Downwind Isle claims he knows the secret of the isle, but lacks the funds to reach the isle himself.

B4: The Shattered Isles: One large landmass used to exist on this piece of rock, but long ago a massive earthquake shattered it into hundreds of pieces. People who used to live there claim that they had a sacred Earth Temple under the isles where they kept there most precious treasure given to them by the goddesses, but they have all but died out. Treasure hunters claim that deep within the temple, a treasure that controls the very earth itself is hidden, and that a monster that attacked the treasure caused the massive earthquake, and sealed itself below in the temple.

B5: Westwind Isle: The island is abandoned, but sailors and merchants still come here occasionally to do business. It has a strange western wind that is always blowing from the mysterious swell. There is a small group of treasure hunters that come to the island to meet occasionally, and try to venture into the swell. So far, none have been successful. The treasure hunters say that on a Crescent Moon, the mysterious Ghost Ship docks at the beach, and once even took someone aboard, never to come back.

B6: Goron Isle: Island of the Gorons, it is tall and has a steep cliff on all sides but the northern side. Well defended, it has yet to be penetrated by any forces. The Gorons here practice sumo wrestling, and challenge anyone who visits, that if they can defeat their Goron Patriarch, that they will give them a heat resistant fabric that allows you to walk through fire unscathed. They used to be trusted with the Crystal of Din, but rumor has it that during the war against the Ritos, it was lost and shattered into seven pieces. A guide to the location of all seven of them is in the Goron Leader’s possession, though.

B7: Cloud Top Island: A small little island that is populated by village folk. It is a peaceful place that rarely sees a cloudy day and is covered with foliage. It has one little village on it, with about six houses, and one farm filled with cows and pigs. There is a spring up the river that always has fresh water. Undisturbed, people who are trying to hide from something have no better place to hide than Cloud Top Island, where they sell mediocre swords and hard metal shields. They are known for the best shields in all the Great Sea.

C1: The Zora Isles: Three islands that make up the Zora’s home. On the largest island is Zora’s Domain, where you can find the Zora King and Queen, living in peace with the ocean. The smallest island is the hardest to get to, and is home to the Zora’s god, Jabu-Jabu. The bridge to Zora’s domain and the port where ships land is located on the last isle. Rumor has it the Zora’s still have the Crystal of Nayru, but only the Zoras know for sure.

C2: Zora Hall: One of the smallest islands in the Great Sea, Zora hall is the Zora’s island of recreation. Here is where you will find music and food, as well as carnivals and a place to stay. The Zora’s may seem unfriendly at the Zora Isle’s, but the ones how love humans and Hylians alike stay here. The prince, fun loving as he is, watches over the place for his father and mother. They say the prince alone knows the location of the hidden Ice Temple, but it is unknown and probably just a myth.

C3: Serpent Isle: A relatively useless isle, most sailors don’t even come by it on their course. The few that do say they have spotted a gigantic serpent breaching the water, and guarding a valuable treasure under the depths. The sailors that see it claim there was an isle that the sea beast pulled beneath the ocean depths. To this day, the Serpent, as they call it, guards the sunken city with its life. The only way to reach the city is to claim some sort of fabric that could allow you to breathe underwater.

C4: Hylian Isles: The first of three large islands that expanse the C4, D4, and E4 quadrants respectively. Like the other two isles, this island has a small village on it. This island specialized in swords, though, unlike its brothers that make shields and armor respectively. Zoras, Gorons, Ritos, Dekus, Kokori, and Gerudos are not allowed on any of the three islands, though.

C5: The Shivering Isles: A group of islands that are all as cold as Snowpeak itself. If there is something on the island, people don’t want to know about it. It is too unbearably cold for people to care, and would need some sort of ice-resistant fabric to even stand the island for very long.

C6: Disputed Isle: A heavily disputed isle, the Gorons of quadrant B6 and the Ritos of quadrant D6 have been disputing over the island for years. The Gorons claim their sacred Fire Temple and Crystal of Din is located inside, but a couple of years ago, the Rito’s sky god Valoo used the top of the volcano as his home, and the Rito’s claimed their territory. Although Valoo has moved back to the Dragon Isles with the Ritos, the Ritos are too stubborn to give any leverage to the strong Gorons of the west.

C7: One Ring Isle: One of the ringed isles, this particular isle only has one large island. One might think this to be the easiest to claim, but in actuality, the cliffs are so high all around, you would need a wind force combined with the ability to fly in order to get on the island. Up there is one of the supposed seven Shards of Din.

D1: Moblin Fortress: A fortress controlled by Moblins from all over the Great Sea. They say that if you are brought here, the only way out is death. Here, the Moblins keep all of their treasure, and even their mysterious king, and anyone who dares to try and rob them must face the consequences. There are spotlights and guards everywhere; it’s impossible to get in currently.

D2: Moonlight Bay: Nicknamed Moonlight bay by the owners, a curse was put on this island by a terrible which centuries ago. It is eternally night, and nothing grows in the dim moonlight. Instead of farming, the girl and her Mother and Father that live their alone have resorted to sword fighting on the Father’s side, and cooking and cleaning on the Mother and Daughter’s side. It is a respectable place to stay.

D3: The Island of Death: Uncharted, no one knows for sure what goes on here. Sailors nickname it the island of death, because the few that “claim” to have landed there say there is an army of undead soldiers and creatures on the surface of the isle, that only rise from the ground if a living soul arrives. Nine out of ten weeks it is eternally night, because it is caught betwixt and between the Moonlight curse from the island above. Some say the Witch resides there, others say they are guarding the mysterious Shadow Temple.

D4: The Hylian Isles: The next Hylian isle, much like its brothers, it is populated with soldiers and only allows humans and Hylians on their shores. On the other hand, it specialized in shields instead of swords and armor respectively.

D5: Great Fairy Isle: Another supposed Great Fairy Isle. It is more popular because of its location near one of the Hylian Isles. Soldiers have tried to climb the steep cliffs, but every time they get near, the cliff crumbles and they fall. The next time they try, the cliff is perfect again. The suspect there is something else going on, on the island.

D6: The Dragon Isles: Home of the Ritos, the Dragon Isles is on the east side of the Disputed Island. Home to Valoo as well, the Ritos aren’t very friendly, but will let in humans if necessary. The sailors who have gone there claim the Ritos know the secret to flying, but the Ritos have not commented on anything the sailors accuse them of.

D7: Seven Ring Isle: The seventh of the seven ring isle, this island boasts the sandiest of the seven. This island indeed claims quicksand, waterfalls of sand, and all sorts of sand traps. Many people claim that buried under the sand, somewhere, is one of the seven Shards of Din.

E1: Northern Forest Isle: The northern part of one large island, the Forest Isle takes up two quadrants. The Northern part is high in the air, and can only be reached by climbing the southern part. The Koroks and the Great Deku Tree reside here, and the island is abundant with trees and rivers. The air is so fresh, that trees grow incredibly fast. There is a trail straight to the Southern Forest Isle.

E2: Southern Forest Isle: The southern part of the large island, the Southern Forest Isle is much bigger. There is a village filled with Kokori here, and they will not let you to the Koroks or the Great Deku tree unless you prove to them you’re a hero. Down here, it is much more swamp like, and if you wander away from the Kokori’s village, you may get lost in the marsh and could easily end up drifting through the swamp forever.

E3: Lost Woods: A medium sized island, the Lost Woods are completely shrouded in forests and filled with Skull kids and Stalfos. The Kokori have banned entrance to the Lost Woods, although nobody knows for sure. Some say that the Kokori and the Great Deku Tree are guarding their precious Forest Temple, while others think it is the resting place of the infamous Crystal of Farore. Either way, it is unknown whether or not there is anything of value there. Even if you did get in, the place is a puzzle, and you could easily find yourself lost.

E4: Hylian Isles: Just like its other villages, this Hylian Isle only allows humans and Hylians. This place specializes in armor, and rumor has it that recently the powerful Magic Armor has been secretly sold to a merchant. It hasn’t appeared in shops, but that hasn’t weakened the rumor one bit. Whether its true or not, this place is definitely an island of interest, especially if you’re looking for special fabrics.

E5: Northwestern Gerudo Desert: The Gerudo Desert, which is a large island that stretches from quadrants E5 and F5 to quadrants E6 and F6, is filled with ancient temples and powerful treasures. The northwestern part in particular contains the Gerudo Wastes, a place sailors claim that serves as a training ground in order to join the Gerudo Thieves/Pirates. All who return damn that place and consider it a death sentence.

E6: Southwestern Gerudo Desert: Nothing of particular interest resides in this section of the desert, besides several abandoned caves. Moblins and such come out of these caves occasionally, and they have built an Arbiter’s Grounds on the soil. Sailors encourage people to stay away from this quadrant, no matter the cost. There is a rumor going around that these Arbiters have the legendary Mirror Shield, which can block any attack and hurl it back at the user. Such are just legends, though.

E7: Cyclone Isle: An island that is stormy, and practically abandoned. The occasional sailor or two washes up on its shores, though, but such is no coincidence. They say that if you’re boat is destroyed in a cyclone; you will end up on this isle. Strangely enough, most of the time, there are several vicious cyclones circling the isle, trapping whoever is there on its surface. As legends go, a pretty plausible one seems to be that there is some sort of power of the wind here, and many people say that you can learn to control cyclones somewhere on the isle. People say that hidden somewhere on the isle is the entrance to the Air Temple.

F1: Northcoast City: By far the most famous island in all of the Great Sea, Northcoast city is the place to be fore swords, shields, armor, music, food, rest, boats, sails, weapons of various sorts, and a good time. Filled with cheery people, this island boasts that the Hero of Time was born here. People consider it a ludicrous legend, but anyone from the city itself will swear on their life that it is true. The city has gained some attention through owning the island below, that contains the ancient, rebuilt, but unused, Temple of Time.

F2: Temple of Time: Residing on a small cliff, in this quadrant lays the ancient and legendary Temple of Time. People claim the Master Sword does not lie within the Temple’s basement, but no one knows for sure. No person has ever entered the magically sealed basement, which will only open itself to those with the heart of a hero. Anyone seeking any item should pray to the goddesses within the temple, and they will perhaps hear the goddess’s wisdom. Any of the Hero of Time’s weapons can be discovered by praying to the goddesses.

F3: Empty Ocean: A section of empty ocean. Hundreds of years ago, there used to be an island here, and a tribe of ancient Zoras. However, that tribe long died out, and a massive tidal wave combined with an intense rainstorm flooded and sank the island into the depths. Down with it sank the illustrious city, which could brag a fabric that allows one to breathe underwater.

F4: Five Ring Isle: One of the seven ringed isles, this island is incredibly hot… unbearably so. It has Lava Rivers and heat burst all through the area. As legends go, this one isn’t very straightforward, all they say is that if you read a tablet on the highest cliff, it will tell you what to do. Nobody knows exactly what it is you need to do, but nobody truly cares. It is so hot, you would need some sort of heat resistant fabric to survive here.

F5: Northeastern Gerudo Desert: The Northeastern Gerudo desert is probably the most dangerous, it is home to the Gerudo Thieves’ hideout. Any men who come on the island are seized by the thieves, and thrown into prisons. Any females are captured and brainwashed to join their group. They know the sands well, and will only let someone truly evil pass. Word is, the Queen of the Gerudos knows the location of the hidden Spirit Temple.

F6: Southeastern Gerudo Desert: Desert Colossus is the commonly used name for this region, which is home to creatures that burrow through the sand and can drag you down with them. The remains of a broken Spirit Temple lay destroyed in the sand, and nothing of much interest lies here. Legends say there is a device hidden in the sand that allows you to hook to wooden targets and pull yourself up to them. Also, the Ghost Ship occasionally docks on the shores of this island.

F7: Two Ring Isle: Commonly accepted to be the most dangerous of the seven ring isles, this island is made up of two gigantic ice platforms, that circle a whirlpool. Truly, it is not really an island, but it is the only object in the quadrant. People say there is a Giant Octorok in the whirlpool, and that there is treasure frozen beneath the ice. Of course, you’d have to be able to control fire in order to melt this magically sealed ice.

G1: Temple of the Goddesses: Accepted as the most mysterious and intriguing location in all the Great Sea, the Temple of the Goddesses was built long ago by ancient Hylians. It is magically sealed, and so no one is able to enter. People have tried, but it has proven just too hard. They say an ultimate weapon lies within the temple, but a magical plaque outside simply states those who wield the three sisters’ crystal tears may enter and claim the sword of evil’s bane.

G2: Four Ring Isle: An isle made up of four small columns. It is impossible to maneuver from one column to another, and would need some sort of grappling hook in order to climb the cliff. Of course, most people consider it impossible to climb; still, some people believe strongly that the goddesses placed one of the seven shards of Din upon the surface of the cliffs. The Ghost Ship never docks with the island, but whenever it sails through the quadrants, people claim they see a red glow on the lowest column.

G3: Lightning Isle: An island that had a curse thrust upon it long ago. While not eternally night, the sky is always cloudy, giving the island a feel of darkness. But a witch put a curse upon the isle that makes there an eternal lightning storm, and destroyed the village that used to be on the island. Everyone left, but some buildings and items from the old civilization still remain. One temple remains, the ancient Lightning Temple, but is magically sealed by some unknown force.

G4: Spot of Origin: Nobody really knows what goes on here, but many people believe it to be the spot of most objects origins. Legends indicate the Master Sword, Mirror Shield, Crystals of the Godesses, and the Three Great Fairies, were born here. Nothing remains but ancient Hylian, but a lot of superstitious people are convinced that some form of magic still lingers.

G5: Deku Isle: A small island that interests species other than human. Koroks, Ritos, Zoras, Kokori, and up until recently, Gorons, have come here once a year to have a carnival with the Dekus. The Dekus have a palace here, and are surprisingly welcoming to any person who is not Hylian or human. All who go to this island claim there is a terrible secret, but are bound by something stronger than magic (For Hylians have tried using truth magic on them). Still, the Deku refuse to allow any human, no matter their stature.

G6: Bizarre Isle: This isle has plagued people for centuries. Every time you approach the isle, you will find a wall of metal surrounding an industrial city. No people are ever seen on the streets, but the island stays pristine. Because of the walls, no one has ever made it inside.

G7: Southcoast City: A city that is raging with carnivals, music, and fun. The ultimate place to be for a good time; a bad place to be for relaxation. Boats are very cheap here, cheaper than anywhere else, however, it is extremely hard to get to the island without a boat in the first place. The Ghost Ship is occasionally seen from a distance, never near a shore, though. Still, it is quite rare to see it here at all, even for a normal isle.
